Seems like everyone already knows the details but me. I have seen the video, but:

  • It's smaller than the SB but carries the same 18650, right?
  • Is it properly sized for two LiFePO4 RCR123A batteries like the SB? I realize that's not recommended.
  • What the heck IS the allen wrench for? Not to change the batteries, is it?
  • What are the holes around the edge? Are they vent holes or wrench holes?
  • Is there some sort of button lock?
  • What kind of polish would you use on a nickel finish?

Haha, I've asked most of these and here are the answers I got.

Yes on the 18650.

Yes on the Rcr123a's.

The allen wrench is for user servicing -- I guess if you dropped it in really wet mud then you would want to disassemble the top/button portion and clean it. Or if it started sticking due to dust, gunk, sand, spilled mocha. Or maybe in 4 or 5 years you might want to replace the spring in the top?

Yes, the holes around the edge are for the allen wrench (there are allen screws in there) -- see above about self servicing.

No, no button lock. I proposed some sort of plastic/metal/flexible "C" shaped band that one could clip on there to "lock" the top/button some time ago. (I didn't win an Omega for best concept or anything so...)

Non abrasive :)

Vey nicely answered Quick, I appreciate that. As far a locking is concerned, it does not have a locking mechanism on it. We tried a few different styles out and they made the action feel off to me. It is easy to depress with your thumb. However, it is not as easy to set off in your pocket as it appears. It is more pocket friendly than a BB. The device will support it's own weight. When you get one you will see what I am talking about :p

One other thing I wanted to add to this, the vent holes are on the bottom. You can see those holes in my avatar :)

No, not permanently attached. You missed the concept. For when you really really want to be sure. If you wear your jeans tight and are going on the roller coaster for example. Artist's rendition below :)

Made out of abs plastic or something. snap on, snap off. You could even do colors so you could easily identify your Omega from all the others on the table at the vape convention. Even if people never used it everyone would want one. And since they're removed from the Omega when vaping everybody is going to lose them all the time. You could sell them in 5 packs.

AWESOME. I actually have one of those, exactly as drawn, right here next to me. It a wire clip for the frame of an electronic drumset. I hope it fits!

I think I'll end up wanting something like that too, but I will probably just rig something up. But who knows? Maybe I should just trust CDDZ:p.

Can one of you guys post a picture of your Omega next to your SB or BB, or both, if you got em? I have my tape measure up to my SB... can't picture the size.
Thanks in advance,
Trishelle:p

I'll try to do this when I get home from work tonight. I have all 3. The Omega is the same height/length as the SB but it's smaller diameter (and lighter). It feels a bit smaller around in the hand than it actually is due to the taper.
