Hey guys! I just wanted to announce that instead of smoking my Marlboro 100 (that I smoked for 8 yrs half a pack to a pack a day) I felt really disgusted. Now, the other analog of choice I used Camel Wide Light. I waited until 4pm to take a drag off it any ohhhhhhhhh myyyyyyy god I FINALLY felt disgusted!
I felt my chest clinching and felt that ill sick feeling that I usually would get if I smoked analog first thing in the morning! I finished the yucky stuff but I don't think I'll be able to pick up another one today! Or so I'm hoping unless my e-cig gives out on me.

I went from smoking half a pack, a pack a day... then a week from vaping I smoked 2 to 4 analogs a day... now finally! I feel encouraged!:D

When I started I was smoking 1-3 cigs a day for the first week or so, mostly because I was scared not to I think. Then one day I just decided to vape more when I had a cig need and see if it would work, and yes, it definitely did. I was just worried about not actually smoking cigs. Doing some extra vaping and seeing what happens got me off completely. I figured I could just smoke an analog if I needed one after heavy vaping and found that I didn't. And if I smoked one now it would be disgusting. I tried a couple puffs a couple weeks ago and it was horrible, like you described.

So good job!

Awesome job. I just quit analogs myself 8 days ago Nov.1 and I had my Joye 510 for over a month and was nervous too. I actually went from 1to 1 1/2 pks / a day down to a 1/2 pk then decided why bother at all. Finally after 27yrs of cigs I am free of smoking and couldn't be happier and it was actually very easy so far. Just believe it works and it does.

Keep it up! Sadly, I got a much higher nicotine solution than I was used to, and well, I never even had an urge to look back. When I did smoke a few (bought a pack for when I was experimenting with a certain fungus that I knew my PV would be too complicated to use on) I barely even felt it.

It sounds like you've found the right nic concentration. I'm jealous.

I still have a partial pack of analogs I keep in my desk. Every couple of weeks, I light one ... And I don't know why. I think just to remind myself how incredibly nasty they really are. Of course, I can't actually smoke it ... It's that disgusting. Two hits is about all I can tolerate. But I've had that pack for over 2 months ... And I find that in itself incredibly amazing.

Thanks guys :)

I'm a little peeved at myself now though..... Seems like I made a mistake of taking the first cig to begin with. At 4 it felt great to realize how nasty and yucky the cigs were to me.... thennn I went into work..... which was hell.... what did I do? light one up because my SE Gold cart was drained...*shakes head*

Tomarrow's another day, I'm trying not to be discourage and trying not to be too hard on myself. I think tomarrow I'm going to try to just vape. I REALLY need a better PV *sighs* holidays hate me right now lol

Ha! Maybe that's why - I hear SE sucks, but I've never had one. I like my 510, and having a passthrough is great. I took the advice of other people on here and at first didn't beat myself up if I wanted and smoked a cig, and was down to 1-3 a day for the first week without even worrying about it. And then it was easy to stop totally with the "why not?" mentality. It seemed to work very well with the low-pressure attitude, it took the stress of it away completely. I thought, well I could smoke a cig if I wanted to, but screw it I can just vape instead. Having the option to smoke still there took the fear and stress away and I was happy to just vape instead. And now cigs are nasty to me. I've got an old open pack sitting around waiting to be thrown out (because I am lazy) and stopped carrying analogs with me after that first week or so (the just-in-case pack). ECF is the best site in the world. :)

Good luck and good job!

PS - I'm still using the spring mod right now on the 510 and I think it is making it vape like 400% better for me than other mods I have tried, and am really happy with it (spring mod plug!)

ladysolitary85, just wait until you start doing the math and realize how much less you're spending. I've spent quite a bit getting started and wasted money on trial and error with flavors, etc. and now have settled on a device and a couple of favorite liquids.

According to my calculations, it will amount to around $200 a month in savings even though the health benefits of not smoking are worth paying more to me.

Keep up the good work!

I did the same thing a few months back when I first started vaping, and I fell off the wagon cause I was using a sad excuse for a e-cig. Anyways I normally smoke a pack of Marb Smooth a day, and I have not had one in 3 days in anticipation of my 510's arrival. Which sadly would come today if it wasn't for Veterans Day. So ,with a little luck, when I vape ,(again), I'll stay clear of the lung snacks. Hopefully you have more will power than myself. Congrats & good luck.
