I got some 80PG/20VG mix from blue mist and it's freaking harsh. Tastes great but damn, it feels like my throat is closing up. Definitely gonna stick to primarily VG stuff from now on.

High Nic started beeing very harsh for me recently. i went from 24mg everywhere to 12 at work and 6 at home.
Careful vaping high VG in a CE2, I just found out that it doesn't wick well. Maybe try a higher Ohm device if it is hitting to hard, and you are certain that you aren't allergic. Also, the nicotine content will make it pretty harsh, but a lot less harsh if you use VG, but it will cut the flavor.
Very few people are actually allergic to pg or vg. I think I read less than 10%. Not that it doesn't happen, but it's not usual. That doesn't mean one might not agree with you, or irritate your throat. But an actual allergy is pretty rare. I can't vape a high ratio of VG. I get a heavy feeling in my chest. I'm sure I'm not allergic to it though.
If you can find a way to have some ratio of pg if you can, it's easier on cartos. But if you can't- you can't. There are plenty of people that vape all VG and are really happy.

...I vape BlueJuice almost exclusively(not quite)...I have tried about 60 of their flavs and Morley is the only one I dumped down the sink...I mix their Vanilla and Caramel Tobaccos for my all day vape, the wife is presently digging their French Vanilla and my step-daughter uses the Hypermint with a shot of Vanilla Tobacco added to give her a Camel Crush flav...........

Sounds like a logical choice, try some bobas bounty from avejuice, virginvapor has some good 100% VG. Actually Blue mist has a good selection of 100%VG

PG is not harsh. Nicotine is harsh. PG lets through flavor, nicotine TH and nicotine irritation the best.
