I know when I was a smoker my family used to tell me I reeked i thought they where exaggerating because they wanted me to quit smoking, now I feel bad that I put them through that for so many years
That's my story too.

My wife used to always tell me how bad I stank after coming in from having a smoke.
But I always sat upwind and held the cigarette over my head.

I thought she was full of crap, to be perfectly honest.
But now I know she was right, and I have apologized to her for not believing her.

Even when you are as careful as you can be, cigarettes make you reek.

It's true, they do. Most smoke (not just tobacco) is strong-smelling, and being smoke gets into fibres and hair and even skin, and there it stays. My partner was used to me smoking, and never particularly noticed it on me till I had that last one last night, after several days of just one or two at most. She said the difference was all the more surprising for her not having noticed it before.

So.. just after a few short days of vaping at work and home.. I went outside to the smoke hut to hang out.. and this was the first time it was in the hut with other smokers (there are 3-5 of us at my work that vape break together). Well... UGH stinkys sure do smell bad.. there were 3 ciggy smokers in there and I had to go outside the hut kuz it stank.

Yeah, they do seem to smell bad now. Reminds me of that last one I lit up. Every time I smell that, it reminds me of why I switched to vaping.

I have a friend who asked me to show a friend of his my asst vaping supplies. His friend is on ss disability for COPD. She can't even walk across her living room without having a coughing/choking attack. BUT she is still a chain smoker. She was full of reasons why she could not quit the stinkies. I didn't push, but thought it interesting that she is spending a large majority of her disability check buying over 2 packs a day. She mentioned not being able to afford food. Priorities.............

I went home stinking so bad that I took a LONG shower first thing. I was stopped up for a couple of days from being trapped in her apt with all the smoke. She has since invited me to come back to visit her.....but I just can't take it anymore. Yuck to stinkies!

I had to work with an outside contractor at work today who smokes. We had to go outside to get his lift and he lit up. It didn't bother me at all which surprised me. But he smelled so bad. Now I know what my family is talking about. LOL The thing at work is there is no smoking on the property. Also no chew is to be used on the property. Now the new thing is I cannot use my e-cig on the property. They classified it under tobacco product. Really, there are others that don't agree with it but what can we do. We are just the little people. That is ok I wrote on the blog with other people talking about it well I can always go over to the mall parking lot which they banned smoking on the property but I can use my e-cig.

Anytime I think I miss an analog, I smell the stale smoke on a smoker,
and it kills off any thoughts of that. The smell is absolutely horrid. I was
in the produce section of the store and a woman walked by and I had hold my breath
(thank God I can do that now) because she was deffo a smoker. Now I walk thru
the store and identify smokers within 10 feet, my daughter laughing all the way.
