As the title says I am overloaded with information and choices on e cigs. I have read and read from website to website and am really more confused than when I started and need help to quit the analogues and find a good e-replacement.

I am about a pack a day 100's full flavor smoker and am looking to replace that. I think I want refillable cartridges as it seems more economical(may be wrong here) and am really just looking for a reliable quality unit. Sometimes I am away from home for a couple days if that is or would be a factor. I dont know what else to include here to help with advice but if you ask I will surely answer, and thanks in advance for the help-im really dying to quit these damn cigs and have found that i cant cold turkey and this seems right up my alley.

Thanks again all,
Chris

Great advice above, especially's Brad's advice to try Cignot. Back when I first started, I too was a bit overwhelmed with all the choices. I came across one piece of can't fail advice...if in doubt, start with a Joye 510.

There are lots of different models out there and most of them are pretty good, but I think the 510 is a very solid choice for someone new to the whole vaping experience. Good luck!

This area of the forum will probably tell you more than websites that just want your money.
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ping-illustrated-guide-e-cigs-part-1-6-a.html

I know... more reading... LOL.

I can recommend a 510 unit as very reliable, relatively inexpensive (if you buy a boxless kit from Cignot.com) and relatively easy to use. The Joye atomizers last forever and it gives a terrific vapor to simulate smoking. You can find more info. about them from user posts in this area of the forum
Joye 510 - E-Cigarette Forum

The 510 does have limitations, but can be overcome with mega size batteries (which last 4 hours vs. 1 hour on a stock battery) a PCC to charge stock batteries (perfect for a new 510 user) and a passthrough for when you are at home or in the car.

EDIT: Don't forget to buy some liquid!!

Welcome to ECF and vaping!!

You are NOT alone, and we have ALL been where you are! If you are like me, you just want someone (at first) to hold your hand and tell you what to get/where to start. So I'll try.

First, I have been vaping for a little over a month now, started with the blu, and have aquired a good sized collection of hardware/software (Personal Vaperers & Juice), all in all a little over $2k. I didn't mean to go this far, but it's more of a hobby now. Whether you go this route or just want something to kick the analog habbit, I'll give you what I think would be the best place to start that will last the longest IF you don't catch the PV bug.

Like most everyone has said, the 510 is (IMHO) the best bet to start with. Want2Vape has THE best deal @ $35 WITH a 15ml bottle of juice to start you off. Like the others, I'd highly recommend getting the PCC ($25).

I would also like to recommend getting some 510 cartomizers from LiquidXpress, you will NOT be sorry!! I'd get one of each flavor (4), each has 5 cartomizers, and they LAST, and you can refill them. They will work on any 510 battery (like the ones you'll start off with) or mod with a 510 connector , and each one holds enough juice to be pretty close to a pack of analogs. They give the best combination of flavor, throat hit, and vapor, IMHO.

If you get these 3 things, it'll be just over $100 total, and you'd have roughly about a little more than a carton worth of cigaretts. Then, all you need is juice or if you don't want to refill, cartos. Here is the math, and of course it's not exact, your milage may vary:

2 drops = 1 cigarette or 10-15 puffs (again depends on how you drag)
1ml juice = 20 drops or 10 cigarettes.
10ml bottle = 100 cigaretts, or 5 packs.
1 510 cart holds about 15-18 drops, IF you get to vape all the drops, most times you'll have to top it off.
1 510 cartomizer (atty and cart combo) holds 25-30 drops (again, depends of if you vape it dry or top it off)

Good luck and welcome to vaping!

Hi Chris and welcome to the forum! I agree with everyone on the 510, that was the first pv I bought & the one I still use now! If you're in the car a lot, then a PCC(personal charging case) & a PT(passthrough) will be great investments for you. I would also suggest trying smaller bottles of e-liquids in a variety of flavors, from different suppliers, until you figure out what you like. Good Luck!

I noticed dietsmokes.com has a new starter kit available. It's a 510 model with both an auto and a manual battery and comes with the new cartomizers (no atomizer needed) which are getting really good reviews.

Also, battery life on the kr808-d1s is getting better. My current autos get 4+ hours with fairly heavy use. There are also extra long batteries for that model available over at vapor4life.com, along with the new premium cartos.

Most everyone here that has been vaping for more than a couple of months has more than one model. Just remember that you don't have to be locked into the first one you pick. Starting with cartomizers might be simpler until you get above the learning curve, and then you can move on when you get comfortable.

If you travel by car when you're away from home for those couple of days, just remember to order a cigarette adapter for whichever model you decide on. Most starter kits only come with the wall unit and usb adapter.

And, like others have said, always order extra carts and atomizers, or cartomizers, and liquid. You can never have too much, but running out just before a weekend when your only source is online with a two day delivery time away can be nerve wracking! :D

Just wanted to let everyone know I got my package from cignot this morning and was vaping as soon as I charged a battery. This thing ROCKS! Havent wanted an analogue yet, I know its only been 7 hrs but it really is fulfilling my needs thus far, nic buzz, throat hit, tastes just like a marborough-awesome. I got the nobox kit with two automatics, a usb car charger(no passthrough yet) 5 cartos as spares and a bottle of plain old cig juice(+free ones). 87 bucks and ordered thursday so fast and cheap. I just ordered some cartos from liquidxpress after i tried it for a few hours. I just wanted to update all you helpful people and say thanks again for solid advice, and helping a guy quit the analogues!
