I am really interested in buying one of those Liberror Realis ecigs just because i am curious as to actually how good they are. Apparently they are the exact same size as a normal cig and even though i am over the whole "it most look like a cig" i do think its nice to have that feel whenever you want it.

How long do cartomisers last though in general? do they have a shorter life than atmoisers? i know models do vary

If you are looking for a looks like a cigarette e cig i suggest looking into a kr808 with some kanger horizontal cartomizers. Try Bloog or volt

Now for your question. It depends on what liquid you use. I use 100%vg and generally get 5-7 days use out of them. If i clean them they can go another 5-7 day cycle and then cleaning is pointless and i chuck em.

If you are using a thinner or clear liquid you will get more life. Darker and thicker juices will kill a carto quicker.

How long a carto lasts is days is bordering on meaningless. If you vape 1 ml a day and get 10 days out of one, It's the same as vaping 10 mls a day and getting one day out of one.

wow never expected those answers, i always thought cartomizers lasted a day and then you chuck them away.

It's the only logical way to think about it.

Which of the 2 following questions is likely to get a meaningfull answer.

How far is it in miles from New York to London?

How long does it take to get from New York to London?

Generally, the E-liquid in cartomizers lasts a day, or two...then you'll start to get that burnt taste. That does not mean they need to be thrown away, however.

I would have to respectfully disagree with you on this aspect. When a cartomizer tastes burnt. It means that the filler material or "diaper" (piece of cotton around the coil) have been burnt. So, a person is inhaling smoke rather then vapor at this point. Overall, it's a good idea to toss them after that point.

The thread that is located on top of the carto issues section entails the dangers of burnt cartomizers. That has been compiled by members of this forum:

When people want to know how long they can expect their cartos to last, I always suggest that they say "underwear" instead.
"I boil my old underwear and then soak them in vinegar or alcohol, and then shake them really hard to get the oldness out, and dry 'em in the oven - why, I have some underwear that I've been wearing for over 15 years!..."
Jolly.

Cartos are supposed to be disposable. They weren't even made to be washed. They are cheap. What are people thinking? - old cartos are gross. I rarely use mine longer than two days, and toss 'em as soon as they don't taste wonderfully fresh - costs less than a few sodas a day. And damn if I'll put a single drop of my favorite beautiful juices into anything that diminishes my happy experience.
