Is the click fast 5x feature to turn on and off just so it does not auto-fire in your pocket etc? Or if you leave the battery on, does it lose charge? Is using the button a lot not a good idea? I would assume this is the same with most/all other batteries with this on/off feature? Thanks for replies.

On/off for pocket or travel where it may get pressed. Leaving the battery in the 'on' state will not lose charge. Use the button as needed. Cheap batts have bad buttons, stuck buttons, etc.
