Hey guys, I'm fairly new to RDAs but I'm hooked already. I got a Tsunami original (22mm) and I'm really loving it so far, only issue is the wicking is a major pain in the ..... I have to stuff it in to the little deck and it still clumps up and wicks poorly no matter what I do. I've read that this is a common issue, and the obvious reason why they even made a 24mm.

Thing is, I only bought this like 3 weeks ago for $40AUD, the cheapest 24mm around is $45AUD. That's quite a lot to spend on something unless the results are worth it. I have a loooot of cotton and wiring to play around with, and I'm about to order $150 worth of FA, Inawera and Capella flavors so I want to make sure I have a pleasurable vaping experience without constantly worrying about wicking. Is it worth the peace of mind or will I be getting similar issues either way?

If you use the cotton pads (like KGD), I have two words for you.

Scottish roll.

I use this method in all my RDAs and RTAs. Works great, lessens the chance of a dry hit, a little time consuming but the wick lasts until you want to change flavors or is gunked up beyond recognition.

In a TFV4 RBA head -

And lastly, in a Griffin. Believe it or not, as white as that cotton is, I was not getting dry hits at all.

Sooo many better rdas. Tsunami is a Niagara Falls leaker if you are prone to over dripping. I hate how thin the metal is on the top cap.

Yeah. My Tsunami doesn't get much use. But for me its more because I'm a careless/lazy dripper, and every so often I dip an airflow. I personally don't want to pay THAT much attention when dripping. The daily is the goon, and I'd definitely recommend. It's is awesome, but is on the expensive side; and they just came out with a 22. I fight the urge to just get one. But as Ben85 did mention, its probably not the rda. More its just play around with the wicking (tight/loose/long/short) and maybe the internal diameter of your coil (to meet your juice consumption/speed needs).

Forgot to mention, the reason I consider moving the opposite direction, down to 22, is for more flavor, and the fact that i don't build crazy on rdas anyway; Dual 8ish wrap spaced at 3 id 24g ss316l for about 0.2ohms. And 22 is tons of space compared to my rtas and rbas.
