On to bigger and better things

Good evening fellow vapors!

So I've been vaping for about a month and am loving it. Started off with the Blu disposables while I researched some e-cigs and ordered the Modern Vapor SideSho. I was loving it at first but got tired of refilling my cartomizers throughout the day, and they also only lasted me about 2 days before they started tasting like smoke and didn't hit well. Last week I ordered a CE2 Clearomizer and let's just say it was okay, but now my batteries last maybe an hour or less before dieing. I use Q-tips and clean the threads of the carto and battery everyday. I think there may have been some leakage from the clearomizer and maybe my batteries are close to done. I think I need something with a better battery and bigger carto, as the SideSho carto when filled only lasts me about 30 minutes or less before refilling. Since I'm new to this still I am lost when it comes to the better brands, so any tips would be awesome.

Thank you!

Yep, you need to move up to a better unit. I suggest an eGo C Twist Variable Voltage. Get two of the batteries, a charger, cartos, and liquid. This site appears to have the best price on the batts: JOYE EGO-C TWIST MANUAL BATTERY - BLACK (1,000MAH)

Agreed. The eGo Twist batteries are probably the next logical step. But be warned that once you go down the path of "upgrades", the money you thought you would save by quitting will not be realized. :D

I also agree ego twist is best value in variable voltage you can get, unless you want to spend more, if you do head over the the 'Advanced PV" section of the forum and post a question there.

Ego Twist and some of the Vistion eGo clearo's aka stardusts are a great match. They have replaceable heads so after a week or two when the flavor starts to get wonky you just replace the head for $3.
GV Vision Replaceable Stardust : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

If you want something that holds even more juice you can get a Vivi Nova tank which can hold 5ml of juice, uses the same replaceable heads as the stardust above so you can use the heads on either. I use both for 90% of my vaping.

I also really like these for when I leave the house, they are 2 inches long and 350mah, use the same charger as the twist and work have the same ego thread type as the twist.... alto they are only $10

Amen to that! Been vaping 8 weeks now. Started with the ego, got my Silver Bullet 3 weeks later and will have a Provari in 3 weeks. Not saving money but at least I smell better. You'll like the twist. Good luck to you.
