Hi there!

I am new to the forum (obviously) but I am also new to vaping. I hate to start my first thread with a question, but I am so far unimpressed with the E-cig that I was so very excited to have delivered.

I received my Modern Vapor Sidesho starter kit (this one Sidesho Select electric cigarette-Ecig Kit) last night and I think that I may have screwed it up. Even with a full battery, a brand new cartridge (pre-filled), and a new atty, it tastes like burning poo and produces almost no vapor. I have been using it like mad trying to "break in" the atty, but it has not gotten any better. Am I doing something wrong? Does it really take that long to break in an atomizer?

I was buying Red Dragon e-cigs with pre-filled cartomizers, but that was getting way expensive, and they seemed to be made rather cheaply (I had 6 batteries break on me), so I bought the Sidesho, and am kind of regretting my decision.

Again, sorry for asking what is probably a dumb question right off the bat, but I am sorta desperate.

Oy... I really hate those vendors. I got roped into the 'Smoking Everywhere' bs cig about 3 years ago and it was total crap. It was 3 years before I tried another because of getting ripped off by them. Sorry I don't have better advice for you on that particular model but I'd just encourage you to believe they're not all like that.

So, I ordered a whole bunch of empty carts and 5 empty cartos. I love the cartos simply for their convenience and ease of use, but they wear out so quickly (after maybe 5 refills) and are quite expensive compared to regular carts.

Since my cartos are worn out, and I don't like waiting on USPS, I have been direct dripping the atty, which works great, but it is not convenient when I am on the go. Is there some secret to getting carts to work well that I am missing?

Reviving this thread to give a little bit of an update. After 5 months of vaping, I have come quite a long way. I first started out vaping a cheap, off brand cigalike that I bought from my local smoke shop. That got extremely expensive for the over priced cartridges, so I moved on to a Modern Vapor Sidesho, which I thought would be better, it wasn't for me. I was using an atomizer with carts, and that was just a huge pain.

That kinda worked for me for about 3 months, and then I found out that I actually lived 2 miles away from Vermillion River E-Juice. That was a great day.

Since then I have been using 2 Joyetech eGo Twist 1000mah batteries with a DCT. I love my eGos, but since I realized that vaping certainly was something that I was serious about, I decided to stop wasting time and money. On Friday, December 7th, I ordered a silver Provari V2 with red LED and LCD, extension cap, (2) 18650s, and a charger. I am over the top excited to get it!!!!!
