any thoughts on the "Spice Treasures- Imitation Vanilla Flavor i bought it from the dollar general market for 1 dollar. its 8 oz, dark in color, and smells incredible. check out these ingredients: (theres only a couple i question)
water
propylene glycol
vanillin
caramel color
0.1%sodium benzoate(added as a preservative)
phosphoric acid
ethy vanillin

if this is okay to use it would be an incredible enhancer to all types of dif flavorings, especially my TA and PTE creations, but i would like a little input or some opinion first before i just dive right into using somthing with phosphoric acid and sodium benzoate in it. not to sure on those..

I'd bet it won't work and will take too much as cskent said. aren't ingredients listed in the order from greatest % to least? There is probably very little phosphoric acid, so I wouldn't worry about it... but it won't be strong enough. Nick from Decadent Vapors told me that flavorings used for vaping are like 4-20 times stronger than they would be otherwise used. To get enough flavor you would probably end up putting too much water in your mix.

See this thread on vanilla http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/flavor-reviews/132088-three-vanillas-flavourart.html

and this quote from Nihkil:

It depends on if you want the whole vanilla experience or just the simple vanilla that's just a singular ingredient, vanillin. If you're using it as a background then the simple one is probably better for your purposes. There are also flavorings that have vanillin in them in addition to other ingredients, like many Cream, Custard, and Bakery flavors. FA has a lot of those and other companies sometimes have one or two as well.

Some simple vanillas: Capella Vanilla Custard, PA French Vanilla

Some complex vanillas: FlavourArt Vanillas, PA Vanilla (Bourbon)

well after concidering that theres probly such small ammts of the phos and sod benz that it probly wouldnt matter assuming im just using a few drops anyway, cuz i was just kinda wanting to use it for a background, i realised that its pretty useless anyway. becuz of what Aprioristic was sayin , when flavorings are used for vaping, their generally 4-20 times stronger than would be used otherwise. in my experience id kinda started to learn that to be the case so yeh. what i ended up using wasnt near enough of anything to notice in the mix anyway.
btw, about nick at DV... i seen the multiple part series of vids on you tuvbe with istormuk called somthing like " an afternoon with nick from decadent vapours" and was real exited to kinda learn some wisdom and hear a bit about some good flavor extraction , but was a little let down when i could barely even hear anything in the vids so that sucked but o well.. man i love DV tho. im a lifetime vaper of the green cow and cola kick

Can't read the link , so I'm not sure what it covers, but be careful of the vanillins. I *think* they can be harmful.

I made some of my own vanilla extract. My family makes our own for cooking, and although it's closer to the flavors we use- in strength (homemade vanilla is much stronger than store bought extracts) it still took more than the regular 20ish%s

If you'd like to try some, just send me a pm. I'll send you some of the vanilla and the beans so you can make your own too.

Yes, you do have to be very careful with the store bought AND the homemade. It needs strained a LOT. I probably run my homemade vanilla through the filter 5 or 6 times (at least!!) before even checking the liquid for particles. The beans start to break down in the alchohol, so there will be residue if you try and use it straight!

i am really interested in your method of doing that bcuz i have yet to find a vanilla that i can realy enjoy and for some reason any vanilla(ish) juices ive ever tried either missed it in flavor or else had ZERO throat hit. sent you a pm

I tried vaping with my home made vanilla as well. Wish I'd went through the trouble of filtering the hell out of it though. Horrible burnt taste and a clogged atty if you don't.
