been lurking the forum for about 2 weeks now and am have become addicted to seeing other's experiences with vaping....started with greensmokes bout a month ago and took only a few cartos to see that vaping had great potential for helping one quit cigs but at the same time figured greenies wasn't the "complete" solution

took a drive Rob's goodprophets retail outlet and he set me up with an ego after being awed by the vape sampling we went through....had a lot a questions and Rob answered them all...the diff between a kiosk e-cig and an ego was night and day....

got turned on to Don's BWB and been experimenting with different carto's, atomizers, CE2's etc but ran into the same problems that most do in trying to find consistency...knew I had the right liquid it just didn't burn right consistently...did all the tricks of de-bridging, warm water cleans, dry burns etc and there was a great deal of vape enjoyment but not quit yet there

next had to get more power seemed to be the answer...high voltage yeahhhhh! took a ride to see Bruce at COV and he was great...he set me up with LR306's, clearomizer mods, wetbox, liquids...the whole 9 yards! was estatic now I has a revving 5volt mod..

hit the wall with frustration again and wanted more consistency....there was one thing about analogs that one never worried about and that was when you pulled the cig out one pack it would basically be the same as another same type cig from another pack any time of the year...that's what vaper's should expect and demand but not have to strive for (oh well such is life I reckon....seek and ye shall find)....well through this forum I have been able to learn alot from other's experiences, which really has been a great help-thanks to all contributors.....feel like am "on the road again"

finally as for my near term consistent vape have ego-t, buzz and provari on order...the ego tank and buzz should be arriving soon and am on the waiting list for the provari....after wasting my health and money on analogs for so long I have no remorse in spending like a drunken sailor in pursuit of the great taste, cloud vapored, good TH vape...the ego will be my stealth, the buzz my main PV for the interim until provari finally arrives.....after all the reading of alot of posts on this forum along with some common sense, IMHO VV seems the only way to go....am sure that the hunt will continue no matter what but am sure am on the right track:..

Yeah! Great story... I envy that you can drive to places to test stuff out in person before you buy. Sounds like you really had pros guiding your decision.

Carts and cartos have their own inconsistent behaviors too. Cart stuffing and how well it is wicking varies based on so many factos - its position, how much juice is in it, whether it has gotten boggy and is holding the liquid rather than wicking it,etc. Cartos work different when full than when less full, stuffing can get singed and ruin the taste. Attys get dirty, etc.

I still think it's worth it though.

yea there aren't enough retail places at all yet but think as e-cigs catch on more and more the potential for profit should be the catalyst to fix that...when who knows??

I think the best way to get consistency is to drip.

Well, provided your atomizer is working consistently, which mine always do.
Unless of course I accidentally flood it a little and have to blow it out.

think we all want the best vape and the hassles are well worth putting up with considering the alternative....smoking...yikes!!!

That can be countered. Dripping is still more consistent because it eliminates wicking problems and wasted juice. I consider myself a lazy vaper because I drip. I only use cartomizers when I'm going to be driving or otherwise away from home where I can't drip. I even drip at work!

drip.drip.drip.........It is really no more inconvenient than dig out a pack,take out a cig, close the pack, find a lighter, smoke. And the 3 drops usually leaves me getting plenty of good vape even when my buddy's cigggy has already burned out.

gotcha...lately been mostly dripping myself ....am adverse to carts with poly and what not
wicking issues with MAP tank or ego-t don't seem at all that bad from what have read but need to try and compare
have not had real good luck yet with clearomizers/ce2's and attributing it to either too much or not enough pv power
ego with 3.7 volts and 2.8 ohm ce2r4 and wetbox 5v with 3.0 ohm ce2r4
doing the math 4.9 watts on ego and 8.3 watts with wetbox....hopefully with vv pv I can sweep the voltage and optimize

for consistent vapes, dripping minimizes variables for sure.....
voltage is a variable either which way you vape
my thinking it is to maximize the power utilization for the sweet spot whether using tank/ce2's or dripping and you are another step closer to consistency, convenience and contentment

In general that will lead to an increase in wicking issues.

Changing voltage is for moving across different atomizer resistances.
It shouldn't really help in any way to change voltages for the same atomizer.

There should only be one voltage sweet spot for any given person for any given atomizer and juice combination.
I think you know all that, but I thought I would mention it anyway for others who might be reading.

sorry for any confusion....don't have all the terminology down yet....instead of saying "maximize the power utilization for the sweet spot" should have quoted Don DaBoom.... "balance battery voltage with atomizer resistance to get an ideal vape intensity"
