You are correct. Topping off batteries doesn't hurt them, in fact it's actually healthier for your batteries to do this than to wait until they're dead and put them through a full charging cycle. What kills batteries is heat and the longer they charge at any one time the hotter they get.

Thank you for the advice then. I'll be more proactive with my charging and not let the battery get down to blinking

My ego starter kit came with 2 batteries...I think it's a must to have at least 2 batteries. Keep one charging one in use. If you only have one battery the worst case scenario is your one battery completely dies and won't recharge. Now what; no nic for 3 days or more while waiting for one to ship to you? I guess you may have B&M in the area.

I'm just glad that my starter came with two. Too much temptation to go back to cigs if the battery were to run out or dies.

everyone needs to have:
2 batterys
2 toppers w/extra coils
2 chargers
30 day supply of juice

after that its gravy. I got alot of gravy around here. ;)

Seriously though you absolutely have to have backups.

I'm getting there. I've got my current pv, another on the way, extra coils, two chargers, about 100ml of juice. It's pretty good for only being into this for two weeks, I've really only been vaping full time for the last ten days

I'll send you a fasttech ego mini if you want. I got them specifically to 1. Keep in my purse and 2. Give away. They are super cheap, but shipping from fasttech takes a long time. Pm me if you want one. I've got pink, turquoise, and orange (kind of sherbety colored).

not really great as a long term solution, but it might get you by until you can order the provari.

ETA: $33.42 eGo 350mAh Rechargeable Mini Batteries for E-Cigarette (8-Pack) 8-pack - ships one of each color at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

That was incredibly sweet and generous of you:thumb:....That's why I love this place, Decent folk abound :toast:

Spazmelda has been exceptionally sweet to me since joining ECF, I don't think we would of been so successful getting off of analogs as fast as we did if it weren't for people like her on ECF.

We have my husband's second triton that I could use, he's got a higher nic juice in there though that I really don't care for. We've only been vaping for not quite two weeks yet. Today is day 10 actually with this PV of mine (and day 9 since my last analog), I planned to clean it out good and dry burn the coil this morning... We're working towards a small collection

Can't you use his battery, and your head/juice?

I wasn't really sure about the battery thing... I guess I'd prefer to drain it to cutting off then charge it to full.

No, these batteries don't have any "memory" issues. You can charge them and use them as you'd like, you don't have to drain them dry before you recharge.

Also, I HIGHLY recommend one of these:

VV passthru, so you can plug into your laptop or desktop and vape while your batts are charging (or in the mail!)

A passthrough it totally on our list of things to be getting. I'm trying to space this out to not spend more than $50 a week... this is an expensive hobby... It only cost us $9/carton when we were rolling our own cigarettes

Totally with you there (although I never could get below about $11/carton with RYO). Going from RYO to vaping it's really, really hard to come out ahead, dollar-wise!!!!!

FT does have free shipping, though, so you can just order the passthru, and you don't need to add any of the incredibly inexpensive other vaping items they have to your order just to balance shipping charges. But China is still on vacation for another week or so, there's no rush ;-)

dont' those batteries have the plug where you can vape while it charges ;pass thoughs' i think that what they are called . and buy another battery lol..I like the mvp since it charges my phone and my other ecig instead of being chained to the larger mods like my lava tube which i love all day vape on one battery while the spare battery is charged or charging from the day before..look into the Volcano lava tube they rock and under a hundred bucks..

These are too cute. Love the colors. I'd get them for my friend if I knew she wouldn't lose them all within a week.

Fair warning some people get ego Batterys at fasttech and love them. The 2 900 mahs I picked up have not been a good experience. Basically you have to be extra careful not to over tighten atomizers or chargers otherwise you will be constantly adjusting the center pin of the battery. Worse the center pin is pretty loose fitting and it is very easy to destroy the connector all together. 6 months in 1 battery = destroy and the other needs adjusted at least once a week even with me being careful. The 2 I have are fiddly at best.

Contrast that with my 2 genuine joyetech ego batterys which I have never needed to adjust despite using the same toppers and chargers.

Not knocking the fasttech ones as long as the buyer knows what they could be in for.
