anyone boil their cartos?

I just found some YouTubes about boiling them clean.

Yes I have boiled a carto it did a good job of removing the flavor however I have heard that some flavors are very tough to remove fully. Boiled it for 15 minutes on the highest setting my stove worked for me. Try it on a carto that has a flavor you don't care for and see how it works for you. In the event something goes wrong you can always ditch the carto without out as much worry being that it had a flavor you didn't really care for too much anyway.

Thus far I've only used cartos with my KGo, and kept cartos organized per flavor.
Do you use cartos with multiple flavors, or somehow clean and reuse cartos?
With my curiosity for flavors, will I need a carto per flavor, or should I just start dripping?

An atty does work good for testing different flavors...that way you won't waste a carto if you don't like the flavor. Some flavors might end up being a vaping pleasure when you add one to a used carto of another flavor, but my luck usually turned it into a nightmare. LOL And yes, some people do clean and reuse cartos while others choose to just toss 'em out and start with a fresh, new one. Just about each person's preference and what ends up working best for you. :)

I would suggest only changing flavors if the new flavor mixes well with the old. For example if you had strawberry originally, you could put in watermelon or kiwi. That way the new one won't taste so awful. Actually if you love fruit flavors, chances are that that most will mix well together.

Another thing you can do if you are a menthol lover, is just add that to your cartomizer regardless what flavor you had before. I just added some menthol to my raspberry in an ego-t cartridge and it mixes well. So I would presume it would be fine in a cartomizer too.

I am mostly a 1 flavor per carto/atty person myself as well. However, I have a couple of flavors that I prefer mixed vs individually, and those I load 50/50 in a carto just to enjoy those more. Also, when I mix, I do it a few drops at a time. That way the flavor is always changing, and it is kinda exciting that way. I never know what to expect on my next vape ;)

Speaking about flavors, I got some "Timmy's Double Double" which does taste a lot like the actual coffee. I'm not exactly thrilled with it as it doesn't have much of a throat hit and it does feel a little strange vaping it instead of drinking it. LOL So I was wondering if there is anything I can add to it to give it a little more zap.

Sorry, I know this is a little off topic but as a newbie, I can't start my own thread.

I've tried cleaning my attys with everclear and letting them dry but still can't fully get rid of the taste/smell. I guess I'll try boiling them. My cartos I just toss when I'm done, but attys are a bit more pricey, for me to just easily throw away. I threw one out today, and I might have cried a little.

Maybe try tossing a few drops of menthol or mint? I'm sure that will help.

You really can't change flavors unless you use the same flavor profile. For example, if you have watermelon, you can switch to grape. The first fill with grape will taste like a combination but the second fill will taste more like the grape. You couldnt have a tobacco and then switch to watermelon.

It's not worth boiling them. They dont always clean well and there is only a 50/50 chance they will survive the boil

If you want to change flavors a lot, think about the Phoenix from gotvapes. You can change flavors easily.

I boil my cartos that aren't clogged when I'm done with them. They work well for using the last few ml's that I have left in some bottles that I don't want to waste a new carto on. If they have a strong smell or strong draw after boiling I toss them.
