So, I'm getting set to buy my first tank to use and learning as much as I can, so I don't make any unwise or unnecessary purchases. I'm using standard Boge's without a tank right now, just loving the goof-proof nature of it and the consistently great vape. All while giving my two brand new protank 2's the stink-eye for being a real PITA. I've read several conflicting things concerning the amount of pre-punched holes, 1 or 2. Most of the juice I get is 50/50 for what it's worth. I do not have a carto punch yet, so I don't have the option of starting off with one and adding another if it's needed. Is there a consensus or is this a "user preference" thing? I absolutely want to minimize the chances of any flooding...guess I don't want to spend yet more funds (must have spent $3-4 hundred so far), only to find that a stand-alone carto is the most reliable/fuss free option for me.

Edit: After more poking around I found these: http://www.electronicstix.com/colle...nk-laser-punched-cartomizers-for-tank-systems

1 LARGER hole...70 positive reviews. Perhaps these are the answer?

Those are the ones I use. Also the Ikenvape Punch V2. Massive vapor. Great taste.

I have tried several brands with the 2 tiny prepunched holes, and have always found them to be lacking. For me, they just don't pack the same punch and feel much harder to draw. I find the flavor lacking too.

But, many carto Masters here like the 2 hole design.

As for punching cartos yourself, I can only share my experience.
I bought one of those sleeve/screw type punches. hey do make a hole, but they also deformed the carto so much, that they no longer fit through the end cap of the carto tank. Some people use drills or dremmels or even hand files. I am not willing to put that much effort into a $2 carto.

Thicker juice - bigger/more/not "hole" holes. For example, Sure Vapes carries the Boge "laser slotted" cartos. These work great with 50/50 and thicker... but can get a little flooded with 60%PG and up. I've never used any of the 1X2.5mm Boge cartos... might have to pick a few up and give 'em a try.

The "big hole" IKVs, don't (usually) flood with thin juice because Isaac's specs are quite unique from other cartos. As they tend to last longer than lest costly cartos, some consider them well worth the modestly higher price. I tend to go back and forth between the normal 2X1mm Boge (25 for $28 bucks) and the 2X3mm IKVs... as I don't fool around much with thick juice, my slotted Boges may outlive me. ;-)
