One thing I dislike about vaping is how much of my attention it occupies

Yeah, I'm not a fan of how much time this is taking. But since I prefer it to smoking I'm setting up so it won't take as much time. first step was learning (mostly on this board) enough. That doesn't mean I won't continue coming here, but I won't HAVE to be here as much.

I already have the hardware (or at least will be here today or tomorrow) that is the balance between cost and efficiency. Multiple batteries and chargers, enough rebuildable clearos and heads to go more than a week between cleaning sessions. Kanthal and silica on the way (hopefully will be here tomorrow) to rebuild heads. PG with nic and plain VG and PG should arrive today. I won't have enough flavor to last as long as I'd like but buy small until I know what flavors I want to go big. Already enough bottles to make mixing something I will only have to do every other week at most (will be a session ahead to leave time for steeping).

Keeping a batteries charged and making sure I leave the house with more than enough to get me through a day will be equivalent to making sure I had a lighter and enough smokes to get through a day.

It does take up considerable time... With tobacco, when you "run low", you can "restock" in just about every store/gas station you can find. Vaping is different; especially those of us that do not have a B&M nearby. You have to "restock" way ahead of time before you "run low" to allow for the delay of shipping.

But it's worth the extra work.

I enjoy vaping and all of the ins and outs. I travel for work so If Im not working I have some time on my hands to fill so vaping and fiddling are enjoyable to me. If I were one of those people who are always pressed for time I can see the down side. But there are delivery systems that dont need much attention, so there's a little something for everyone.

You're right! Such a steep learning curve with all this stuff. I'm surprised by how much time this takes, but I am starting to enter that comfy zone of knowing enough to use what I have well. But, I like tinkering and learning, so the time investment is good for me.

What part of GA are ya?

I've not got on the try everything wagon so my time learning was shorter. I do find that ECF takes up any spare time but, to me, it is worth it. ECF is my support system and I have made friends here. I don't click on links because I Just.Know. I'll be tempted. I'm not verified because I KNOW I'll spend more money by 'saving' money. Sure, great deals are in the classies, but I save more by not spending over there. You might be thinking 'you don't know what you're missing'. You're right, what I don't know is not hurting my wallet either.

I think it's great that we DO have something for everyone. Tinkerer and DIY. And then people like me that have to have the KISS mentality. God help us if we are limited by the FDA and regulation. None of us will be happy.

I guess you could say eastern Atlanta metro. Walton county at the moment. Sometime soon it will be either Conyers or Loganville. It was Tucker. If you draw lines from all those and include Clayton county you see the range I roam for days when I am working in the field.

I used to work all over the state and never hit Statesboro. I worked all around you though, lol.

Every time I don't have to stop at a gas station for a pack of cigs, gives me sooooooooooo much pleasure! Or looking for a lighter that works or matches or ash tray, etc. I love spending time on vaping needs, it is so fun and rewarding! bnrk

I tend to take a vape as I pass the places I used to buy smokes. Yeah it is a childish up yours moment to the stinkies but it feels SO good.

From either shopping for juices and deals, to not being able to put the damn thing down. It's become a hobby I never wanted. But at least I'm not smoking....and one day I will find the perfect set up and I can end my search. :)

Huh:confused: And that's one of the BIG things that keeps me away from the ciggies! Go figure, everybody really is different aren't they:)

Other than GSU, you aren't missing much in Statesboro, which is why the long time locals call it States-boring. Ha! I might try to make it up to the Vape Meet in Atlanta next month; if you're going to be there, we should have a beverage and a vape.
