hi Guys all the math sounds great and well thought out
I have atoms still working well after 3 months, maybe even more. I have batteries that last 2 days and some last 5 months, if I use passthrus, I could go forever
If you are looking to figure the cost of smoking ecigs compared to smoking analogs, it is a no brainer, numbers game

just out of curiousity how the hell did u fit 4 pack per day in your lungs??? even just time wise? u smoke like 5 back to back each time u go for a break???

Atomizers: The way I see it, the atomizers are heating elements which are energized about 150-300 times per day. This is equivalent to 13,500 - 27,000 times in a 2-month timeframe. Your stove heating elements are energized 3 times a day, 1,095 times per year, 13,500 times in 12.3 years. Would you be upset if your one of the elements on your stove burnt out after 12 years? I know that a stove is energized for longer than an atomizer but, it is of a much more durable design since it doesn't have to also serve as a means for wicking liquid.

Despite all the slurs about chinese goods, the reality is that nonone else has yet made anything better, not even as a one-off. Gluing a connector to a chinese made torch to connect a chinese made attomizer is all that's been achieved. Does western built stuff aso sometimes breakdown although new. You bet.

dont get me wrong... chinese goods are great lol
i am just saying if some other company look into this matter, and manufacture a "better" atomizer even at a slightly higher cost, i would be willing to buy it

You have to admit failure rates seem kind of high and you almost have to expect the with the atomizer just because of the heat. The randomness of early failures does draw attention to a lack of quality control but I think some of it is also flawed design. As the industry ages they will get better at it as competition stiffens. Yvilla makes a good point that the power sorce is replaceable. I personally like to keep the feel of an analog at least for a little bit.

I have a 901 atomizer that I use every day on a passthrough and nearly 3 months old still working strong. I'd be willing to bet more than half the atomizers people think are dead really arnt. They get carbon build up and don't heat up enough to vape or loose connection with the battery, but are not dead.

As far as having COPD and certainly not to be a downer

however, if you smoked at all for any real length of time, you may have done some real damage and just not know it

but any way so you guys are telling me that not manufacturer makes "good" atomizer that would last me more then a couple of weeks? i mean its not rocket science lol just a damn coil!

it you guys are aware of any better then other i am all ears, on top of that would extra care for the atomizer help its poor little reduce chinese lifespan?

Check out this post by Sun on how to maintain your atomizer. This looks like it should work to make them last longer, at least we all hope so.
