I only started 10 days ago vaping, but as my throat is sore I have stopped for the last 3 days and using patches and still suffering heart burn etc... Hopefully it does not go on too long, sleeping patterns are all over the shop.. and I think Farting etc are withdrawal symptoms.. and I would not point the finger at PG as I see loads of peeps do here.. At least wait a month or 2 to decide if PG is giving you side effects, as most withdrawal symptoms should of be out of the way. Agree ?

HI people just joined today.
I heard about ecigs about a month ago and thought what the hell give them a go eh.
I ordered a nicocig starter pack in the uk and was immediately hooked.I smoked 30 analogues a day for 20 years and was amazed how easy it was to give them up.
Here I am a month on and already complaining about the awful stinky breaths of people I know who still smoke analogues(I cant believe it)
Anyway here comes the bit where I need help.Im on pre-filled cartridges and have got myself down from high nicotine to low/none nicotine already but am finding this very expensive.
I should add I stopped smoking because of expense more than anything.
Ive tried wicked liquid but find this too strong and still quite expensive. My fave is the pre-filled low nicotine cherry cartridges.
Can anyone direct me or tell me how to get cheaper juice/cartridges.
In a month ive spent more on ecigs than analogues and I am getting concerned if this continues ill end up reverting back, please help.
I pay £24.99 for 50 cartridges but I seem to go through about 5 a day.Is this the cartridges or ny nicocig?
Thanks DD
Awesome vapor has a great selection and some good prices IMO. Their customer service is also top notch. You are not gunna get a good deal by buying prefilled. Filling your own will save you lots of money and you can mix up your own fun flavors!

Congrats AndyJem!!! I hope you'll continue staying analog free, thanks to e-cigs I'm now at my 1 month mark - never thought I'd see the day I didn't have a ciggy .... in my hand. I'm so much happier - no more wheezing and coughing, no more stink, and probably best of all, no more inflicting my smoke on my poor animals! They thank me for that every day in their own way... lots more snuggle time now & plenty of purrs. LOL :D

Congrats on quitting smoking and welcome to the vaping club! I also suggest buying some e-liquid and filling your own carts, buying the pre-filled ones all the time is way too expensive. Plus with filling your own you get a lot more flavor choices. Look around the forum for approved suppliers and try ordering smaller bottles from a few vendors to find what you like.

I only started 10 days ago Vaping, but as my throat is sore I have stopped for the last 3 days and using patches and still suffering heart burn etc... I think the sore throat is at least partially dehydration. I saw a lot of people talking about sore throats (and dry mouth and dry skin) before I started vaping and have experienced it myself. Mine went away when I made a strict rule: if I'm only taking a puff or two, I owe myself a sip of water soon, but if I'm sitting down for a "vape break" then a full glass of water has to go with it. That's had other benefits: it seems to help with a lot of smoke-withdrawal symptoms, like the awful acne I'm getting when I forget to hydrate.

PG is hygroscopic - it grabs on to water molecules. Otherwise, we wouldn't get vapor; the "steam" we substitute for smoke is pulled out of the air by the PG. But it stands to reason that the PG will also do the same thing to the water in our mouths and throats (or at least that seems reasonable to me) and a dry throat is an angry throat. So putting water back in sounded like a good solution (ha) to me, and it seems to be working so far. (Then again, it might just be that pulling in hot air of any kind is irritating, and going analog-free lets our throats heal enough to start complaining again about the lesser irritant of the vapor.)

On the bright side, I've seen this dehydrating effect offered as the explanation for the demonstrated antibacterial and antiviral properties of PG: maybe it just dessicates microorganisms to death. So vape away, drink lots of water, and don't be afraid to hug a friend with a cold. :)
