One week no analogues

Today makes a week :D

Had to sit in the car this morning with my GF and her sister smoking, opened my window and tried not to breathe any in but I wasn't tempted or hungry for one.

Have saved a small amount of money, and spent about 10 times that on gear haha but at least the gear is forever and looks friggin cool.

Wonderful news!

I'm only on day 4 and not craving a regular cigarette at ALL. It's nice to see success stories of those ahead of me in the fight to quit!

Exactly two weeks ago -- 3 p.m. CST on July 6 -- I opened my Kanger EVOD starter kit that had just arrived in the mail. Haven't bought a pack since. It's my two-week anniversary and I feel amazing. I look good too -- the horrible dark under-eye bags I always had have been fading and getting incredibly better. I finally look rested, and younger than I did even two weeks ago Amazing.

Next time your boyfriend is in your car and wanting a smoke, why not hand him your PV and tell him to go wild? You could pack up some clearomizers with different flavors and let him sample a few. Bring an extra battery and charger though.
Might be time for a long road trip. You'll have a captive audience.

No dice. I've tried many times. I stick it in his mouth, he takes a puff, coughs and says it's not for him. The only one he said "wasn't bad" was AiV Footprints, which is PB&J. But he won't convert. I refuse to say never, but I doubt it.

A couple of his friends are kind of into it, they ask me for puffs and what flavors I have. One grabbed my extra battery and clearo in the car one day and vaped on our way somewhere. Problem is they started "researching" and ended up with all sorts of garbage from big tobacco that it's unhealthy and worse than cigarettes and not FDA approved so "who knows what's in there" and stuff. So now none are interested and insist it's better to just stay with cigarettes.

Oh, yeah, I've been hit with this from everyone. I say, "4,000 known bad things are better than 3? Get a grip people! We are all gonna die, I've just chosen to die not giving Big Smokey my money!" They can be all scared about what might happen with vaping or be secure in the knowledge of what WILL happen if they keep smoking.

Sounds to me like their addiction is speaking more than reason. >.<

And that's EXACTLY what one of them said. "I know I'll probably get lung cancer in 30 years but who knows what sort of weird things will be wrong with you in five years!"

A: Lung cancer is actually not the most common cancer caused by cigarettes, and you can get lung cancer from other things anyway. Friend's father passed away from lung cancer and never smoked a cigarette in his life.

B: I watched my father die of cancer from smoking. Know what he didn't have? Lung cancer. He was riddled with rumors through his esophagus, stomach, and bladder, but no lungs. He also had emphysema along with my grandmother.

I had a few other arguments such as the contents of asthma inhalers and the fact that nicotine itself is only a stimulant, like caffeine.

My favorite comment from another one of my boyfriend's friends (can't stand this guy) was, "Those things kill babies." -_- Wow. I'm sure plenty of things that are next to harmless for adults could harm infants. Alcohol, caffeine, and yes, nicotine. His argument was one puff in a baby's face will kill it, "and it's true because his teacher told him" (now suddenly teachers are right? We spent 12 years ranting about how teachers don't know anything, lol) I mean, I just don't know where to even start with that one.

Anyway. I shall end this with, the chemicals in cigarettes destroy your body! We already know this! I was stupid to even put one to my mouth in the first place when I was 15 years old. But, we were all young and invincible. We get older and start to see the real damage it does, and by then it's too hard to stop. I figured I'd only be able to stop if I got pregnant. If it wasn't for vaping, nothing would stop me. It's not the addiction, it's the routine. A pill, patch, or gum just wouldn't work. Knowing that I have the security of being able to keep the routine, without the harm, I'm happy.
