Hi to all~
Just wanted to say a quick howdy. I have been vaping now for one wk. and been smoke free for that time. Quite the accomplishment for a 2-2 1/2 pk. a day smoker of 27 yrs. I am stoked by the whole vaping experience although am now working on the correct nic. level and searching from many suppliers for the perfect ejuice. Started with the KR808 starter kit and already looking into a ego or mod with tank for sure. Have orders placed at several suppliers (V4L, Ms. T's, Copper Creek and a few others) for liquids. While mornings have been the toughest (I had to have my cig before even getting outta bed type smoker) and then during those days when I am running errands (read Walmart STRESS), but with my ecig I have managed to curb the need and move past it. Never could have gotten this far without my ecig as I LOVE smoking. With my ecig and vaping I am getting the same thing minus all the nasty chemicals. This forum is THE best as I have researched this topic for several months before taking the plunge. ANY/ALL suggestions and types welcome.

Welcome to ECF and Congratulations on quitting.

Don't buy a lot of large bottles of juice for now. Stick with sample size. Your tastes will change and you will periodically go thru phases where you can't taste any flavor while your taste buds are recuperating. Wait until they settle down before buying large quantities of one flavor, and even then you will have juices you once loved, but don't much care for now.

Drink lots of water, more than you think you need.

Welcome to ECF, and congrats on your decision to become a vaper and an ex-smoker! I haven't been vaping too long myself so take my suggestions with a grain (bucket?) of salt, but I believe your 808 runs at 3.7 volts, whereas the eGo is only around 3.3 or 3.4. Not a huge difference, but I'm thinking there are better (and probably less expensive) options in some of the ego clones, or the E-Power. Worth a little study before making your purchase, anyway.

Something I'm finding that helps me avoid the tobacco (though still not entirely, since I don't always do it) is, I try to vape a higher nic juice first thing in the morning, and anytime I feel the need for it. Then when sitting here chain-vaping at my computer I drop it way down to maybe 1.2% nic. I mix my own juice so this is pretty easy to do, but you could order cartos of different nic levels to see if this helps you. I've read several posts where folks put off their first cig until, say after lunch, and it helps them a lot to taper down to nothing with tobacco, so I'm about to try that myself.

Best of luck, and Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Sorry, for some reason I missed that you're already into filling your cartos (caffeine deficiency here; gotta make more coffee!). Anyway I don't know what % nic you vape but my morning juice is usually between 3.0 - 3.6%. That's as stout as I ever intend to go with it, and even though I was a heavy smoker for a long time if I vaped that all day it would take a nasty toll on me, but it kick-starts my morning pretty well for the first hour or so.
