"One would think that vaping has to be safer than smoking real cigarettes. Experts say they are probably safer, but safer doesn't mean safe"

It's come to the point I've had to stop reading these so-called news stories about vaping. It's fairly obvious by now that health and safety is not the real issue. THAT'S the smoke and mirrors. It's in the vested interest of certain parties to associate vaping with smoking as closely as possible. Smoking can be controlled for profit. It's all about the dollar bill.

"Safer doesn't mean safe." Can't argue with that statement!

Why suddenly are ecigs supposed to be "safe," when so many things we do and consume every day wouldn't fit that criterion?

Chantix? Safer doesn't mean safe!

I agree with Saboteur, it's the messages being broadcast by the anti-ecig crowd that fit the "smoke and mirrors" description!!

Guambred, what that mod in your pic? I never give these articles a read. Did once, got tired of the lies. We may not know the long term effect of inhaling PG/VG vapors in the type of application, but it has been so for generations in other applications. Never once have I heard of health risks.

Munnin, the mod is a Dreadnaut by tactical works from the Philippines. 26650 hybrid. Yeah I dont think there is a product out there that is SAFE. Why can we not pick our battles for the SAFER products we want, and let evolution weed out the ones who cannot figure it out? Stupid question but begs to be answered.

Crashing your auto into a brick wall at 40 MPH with a seatbelt or without? While neither is safe I always prefer doing it with the seatbelt.........

The "safer but not safe" argument is just rhetoric. If that is going to be the validity test, no drugs would be approved by the FDA. Just pay attention to the Pharma commercials. The FDA says "safe and effective" but the best they can achieve is "Somewhat safer and to some degree effective" and they barely have met that standard with approved NRT.

Imo, the younger gen(younger than me NOT minors)has already answered this question with their wallets, habits, and beliefs .Vaping is not a bike ride or a good workout but it sure looks better than seeing smoking at a dinner table, that was acceptable big time in the 70's, and that was very dangerous to everyone involved.
