Hello all! It has been a year since I dropped the analogs and started vaping. I am loving it.

So I switched to a PV back in the beginning of December 2010 and I started out, like many, with the Kr808. I have since purchased a PCC, pass through, many many many more cartos and 4 more batteries. In this time I have had two of the batteries, the PCC and the pass through all die on me. I now have 4 batteries and 2 chargers that I have running almost around the clock. The chargers just about always have a battery in them and I just about always have a battery and carto in my hand/mouth. <Pause to vape>:vapor:. The 4 remaining batteries that I have are also starting to go the way of dodo now as well. Hell, even my chargers are starting to quit on me. So after ordering 10 fresh carts and 60 ml of juice (my monthly supply:)) the other day I started to order some new batteries today, but then I stopped and told myself, "Self, this is stupid. There are better PVs out there with better batteries that provide a better vaping experience." I also realized that there are probably better solutions that also don't waste as much juice as some of the Kr808 cartos are currently doing.

So, today I started searching and reading. I read review after review. I watched some videos on YouTube and then I read some more. I stopped, took batteries off the chargers, put batteries on the charger, vaped some more and then continued to read. All this reading, charging and vaping made me understand with a little more clarity what I am really looking for. I want is a PV that provides a good long battery life (all day preferably), a ton of vapor with each hit, good taste from start to finish, can fit an adapter to use my existing Kr808s until I can resupply with new cartos and comes in a kit that will cost under $60. Am I asking for too much or just dreaming?

In the end everything I read lead me to two different although similar products.

One is DisountVapors' Go-Go kit with a Go-Go to 808 adapter. The kit is like every other starter kit I've ever seen and comes with 2 batteries, 5 cartos, charger and poorly written manual. The videos I am seeing show huge amounts of vapor (a lot more than I am used to with the Kr808s at least) and most everyone is saying that the 1300 mah batteries are lasting for a very long time (over a day for many). Everything I've been reading about this product says that it will meet most of my criteria. The only thing I question is the taste from start to finish as well as wasting juice in the carto. I can pick up this whole kit for just under $54 shipped to my door. Replacement batteries are around $13 to $20 (LED indicator version) which is right around what I was paying for Kr808 batteries so not bad at all.

The other thing I found is SmokTek's E-Power 14650 with a 510 to 808 adapter and Boge L/R Cartomizers. Also a pretty standard kit that comes with 2 batteries, epower unit, charger, 2 510 atomizers, 5 510 cartridges, switch cover and manual. I'd add the Boge Cartos because I have never used an atomizer and cartridge combo before along with the fact that people speak so highly of them. I really like the idea of just having to change out a battery literally. The fact that replacement batteries can be bought for about $6 a piece is also really nice. This would take away some of the concerns about the batteries only lasting 6 hours too. I also really like the fact that everything is replaceable, but really when the switch costs $12 and a new battery with switch for the Go-Go costs the same then it doesn't really matter that much. I also like the vapor production that I see with the E-Power and I am kind of curious about all the different 510 cartos with the coils and dual coils. Having had the Kr808 for so long I'm not even really sure how those work. I can pick up this kit with the adapter and the extra cartos for $57.50 shipped.

I'm also seeing the E-Power 18650 Kit for $44.99 which I am kind of guessing would be a cross between the two.

So does anyone have anything good or bad to add about either of these? Can anyone comment on the 510 cartos vs the Go-Go cartos vs the Kr808 cartos? Is there anything I am not seeing or anything else I would need to make my dream a reality? I will say that all the positives that I have read about the Go-Go are steering me towards it. The big negative that I was reading had to do with the fact that you could only use Go-Go cartos, but after seeing the Go-Go to 808 and 510 adapters that doesn't really concern me too much anymore.

Jeez, I wish I could help.

I'm sure you'll get a ton of responses because there are many Go Go and e-power owners on the board that really like both of them and can tell you all about them.

I've never used either- I do have an echo-e which I believe is similiar to a Go Go except it's a 510. Cartomizer that come with it are very similiar and I do like it. I also need an adaptor for certain cartomizers but it's not a huge deal.

Can't say one way or the other as far as the GoGOo is concerned , but I did use an E-Power for awhile . I think it was a really good intro into big bat mods . Fairly cheap to purchase , and the replacement batteries are cheap as well . Now I hear they also have an 18650 version , that's supposed to be even better than the original(which they still sell . Maybe a GoGo user will add his or her comments in regards to that PV . Good Luck in your search .

If you have any interest in a feeder mod, you could consider maybe picking up a used reo or something. You'd have to up your price range to say $90-$100, but I swear by these things, parricularily the reo mini. Small, indestructable, can use 808 cartos with an adapter, and will provide battery life and juice for a day for most.

I've used or owned most of the high end mods, and reo's are still my daily use PV.

Good luck!

Never used any of the items you listed, looked at the links you provided. Based on my own experience with mod boxes I would have to say that any battery over 900Mah will last around 4 hours. This is based on the fact that a standard e-cig battery like the KR808D or Joye 510 at 280Mah will last for about 2 hours. Remember that the batteries start out fully charged at around 4.1 volts and start to drain down to about 3.2 volts. Anything below 3.6 volts does NOT heat up the cartos well enough to produce vapor, at least not for me. Vapor also depends on type of liquid you are using.
So the larger the charge one battery can hold the better, hopefully it will keep at volts above 3.6 for a longer time.
Your other option is to build a 3.7 volt mod box, 3 AA battery box, 2 re-chargeable batteries (900Mah each), this will give you 1800Mah 3.7 volts (4.1v fully charged) and will last all day (10 hours) + (depends on how much you vape). The self-made box will not look as nice as the cigarette looking manufactured e-cigs but will last all day.
Or you can just buy one, I could not find one to supply a link, maybe people stopped making them or maybe others on this site can provide a link to a 3.7 volt mod box using 2 900mah batteries.

Hope this helps you a bit.

PS: I see nothing wrong with your links and I am sure they will work just fine, 2 of those batteries should last you for about 8 hours.

...the GoGO kit...on the site, it sez it is not compatible with other than GoGo gear...that puts it in the NO category for me...for similar power, compatible with all 510 gear and a great reputation try the Kgo KGO 1100 mAh 2 battery kit this is a great kit and will give between 10-12hrs of batt life...
...I use the 14650 E-Power kit from Crystal Clear Vaping I get a solid 10+ hours of moderate heavy vaping with it Hoosier sells it as well...both CCV and Hoosier have pulled their stock of E-Powers off the shelves because of a problem with the switches and are awaiting new switches/kits which should be in around the first of the new year...like I said, I use an E-Power w/older switch and absolutely love it...for the price, it is hard to beat...

...my last suggestion is for a variable voltage box mod...these can be had for around the same price as the above and allow the largest range of options because they are variable voltage and that will let you try almost any atty/carto and get the best out of it...look for ones called VariCool or EverCool as these have a more efficient regulator allowing for better batt life...as much as 20+hrs in some cases...most of these use 2 14500 batts or even the larger 18650 batts...look at Custom Mods they also sell the E-Power and even better the RoughStack which is a solid, versatile and dependable mod ...or Welcome to SmokTek - The Better Smoking Alternative - Your source for personal vaporizers, e-cig supplies and e-liquids ...they have a nice VariCool and even the E-Power on sale for 35bux......good luck and Happy Vaping.........

Your best bet is to get a KGo.
They are the best (non-mod) e-cigs on the market. The batteries are superior because they are made by SLB.
The 1100 mAh batteries last for all day and night vaping. These batteries run at a higher voltage than most, instead of the3.3v to 3.7v provided by most eGo/Riva batteries these provide 3.8v under load with 1.5ohm dual coils and over 4.0v under load on 2.0ohm single coil cartomizers. The whole kit will only set you back $43.99 + $4.00 (they send it 'priority' - usually 2 to 3 days).
You can also pick up an adapter that will connect with your existing 901/808 to 510 (the KGo fit) for $2.50.
You really can't lose with the KGo!
There are a ton of reviews on here that you can read and see if this might be a good fit for you. I highly recommend them.
Good luck!

And I'm still using eGo 900 and 1000 mah batteries (since Sept 2010) and 510 atomizers. I charge maybe one (or two, at the most) batteries per day. Quit using cartomizers in early January 2010, so I've had no hassles since then (and much better taste using atomizers). Also, started making my own e-liquid in January 2010 and am still vaping the same liquid. After the first year, I bought four more 1000 mah eGo batteries and a dozen more atomizers. Will be buying some more flavoring in the near future (to last a year), and that's all I've bought in 2011....less than $250 per year.

I've used the KR808D-1 batts for two years and I do still use them - but more often I revert to my Riva 650mah. I got mine from Liberty Flights and I absolutely love it. The two batteries are really all I need; one on the charger while I vape with the other. I've never run out of battery juice and I absolutely love it. I use the KR808D-1's strictly for backup now, or for when I'm in a situation where I need an e-cig that looks like an analog.

I highly recommend the Riva. It's fabulous.
