Another Oregonian here...I understand NOT all AC adapters will work with the eGo USB charger. madvapes told me I needed a 2 amp adapter. I can't use the 1 amp adapter I already have from another kit. Between the volts, amps, ohms, mAhs, mas, etc., I feel like I'm studying to be an electrician. I thought I was vaping?

I don't even know what kind of an AC adaptor I have. I assumed you could charge any ego battery on the charger if it was a fast charger.

In both cases they say the cheaper version won't run a passthrough without a battery, for whatever that is worth.

I would imagine that 300mA output would be too low to properly fire an atty, definitely too low for a dual coil or a LR. 2A will be fine for most though, as I had made a custom pass-through that plugged into the wall from an old cellphone charger. Its output was 5vdc @ 2A. Worked much better than the stock mini 3.7v battery. That was with a standard atty though, I don't have any experience with LR ones.

I still maintain your adapter should work perfectly fine, even if it's 1a unit. As I said before, your USB port on your computer puts out half that and charges batteries just fine, so a 1a wall unit shouldn't have any problems with charging.

Still lost in the electric woods. :)

The eGo I'm shopping for would be my 4th kit. My first was a custom (brand name mini e-cig), returned. Second was another custom, I'm guessing 808D kit, kept but hardly use anymore. I'm on a Joye 510 now, but I've become a serial charger. The PCC for it only had a USB charger. I asked Vicki at Cignot if I could use my 5 volt-1 amp AC adapter from the 808D kit to charge the PCC. She said yes and it works fine. But just to be safe, I'm getting an eGo kit WITH an AC adapter. Yeah, I'm chicken.

I read that you can charge an eGo batt with a 510 charger (need an extension for the Joye AC charger and it would take twice as long), but DO NOT charge the 510 batt with an eGo USB charger. It will destroy it, per Cignot.
