Ive been using Reos since early 2011 and only ever had one tube split and it was the old thin wall tubes that Rob no longer uses

the 510 connector pins inside most connectors is a weak spot, whether it be a reo or anything else. And yes, I had one of those early thin tubes split on me (it was from 2011 and no longer in production).

Anything mechanical that gets used on a daily basis is going to eventually wear out. I don't care if its a weedeater or a vaping device or a washing machine.

My keyboard gets a lot of use and the letters are worn off the keys now on the on most of the vowels. Even my LLBEAN Duck Boots eventually spit a seam, and they are very well made. I wore them every winter for 15 years.

Anyway, that is why Robert sells rebuild kits.........because the Reo is not a throwaway device. That is what makes it special.

I was unable to get parts for my weedeater though. Now I only use Stihl. They actually repair stuff, unlike most brands.

The tendency of the gasket to hold on to flavors turned out to be the last hassle reducing thing that happened to my vaping. In fact, it was AVE Hype that stuck to my mini for about 2 1/2 months that made me come to a conclusion... That's what finally got me to settle in to that "all day vape" ECF-ers talk so much about. .... Now, don't get me wrong. I have more flavors than baskin robbins... but neither of my REOs ever get those in their bottles. They just get one juice. If I ever decide I want to switch daytime juices, I'll just buy another REO for whatever flavor that is I want to switch on and off to.

I have a dripping rig for the last hour or two before bed... Sometimes I don't use it for a few days, but sometimes I just feel like something sweet... or maybe something deeper ... or maybe something lighter... or maybe something undefinable like bobas ;) before bed. In fact, that is the one and only reason I still own a tube mod.

No matter what you make there is always someone that can break it

No offense intended.

Clearly, this is Rob's master plan. Use a gasket that retains flavor, and make us all buy more Reo's for each flavor we use. GENIUS! :toast:
I've got at least 10 flavors that I will always use. So, 2 Reos down, 8 to go?

Exposing the mod master!!! Hopefully this post doesnt get me evicted from Reoville :vapor:

I realize they sell rebuild kits. That was never in question. I for one, wouldnt mind a more solidly built 510 connector that does not have a chance to trap juice flavors. Changing feeder tubes and bottles is no big issue IMO, I consider those "consumables" by nature. I would simply like to see a more robust 510 connector. Even if it was machined metal and added cost, I would still buy it.

Im not even implying the current setup is bad by any means, it works great for 99% of people and thats fine. On top of that, Im not even implying that this 'MUST BE DONE NOW" I realize Rob is busy and upgrading things all the time, its just food for thought.

Hello Mike it will happen there is always room for improvement. The hardest part for me is finding time to mod . One of the things I plan to change is making the center post longer in turn easier for people to install a feed tube without removing the delrin insert . On the top of the post I want a hex head and get rid of the slot . If you could convince the hooples to stop buying mods for awhile I could jump on these projects

I must be dense. I just don't see a problem with the 510 connector.

Personally, I think the 510 is fine. I also like the short feed nipple. I have the tendency of bending my feed tube out whenever I try to unscrew my bottle for a refill. A longer one might be more prone to snapping whenever you pull the bottle out. If there was a modification to be made here, I'd prefer it to be a mod to make it easier to completely disassemble the 510 connection and pin so that my monthly general cleaning of the mod would go easier. :D

I agree with the gasket material though. I think the gasket needs to be less porous so that it doesn't soak in flavors. When I first got my Reo (2nd hand), I couldn't get rid of the former owner's juice flavors. During my first rebuild, I found the flavor to be coming from the gaskets.

So far, my current line of juices don't stick as much as whatever the previous owner was vaping on this. The flavor might stick a while but after a few mls, they are usually gone.
