Hiya all. Been lurking around for a few weeks soaking up the wealth of information, figured it was about time I said hello, though I am a lurkish sort.

Smoked for about 18 years, the last few 1.5-2 packs a day. Had an online friend who started raving about ecigs to me, but it seemed so fiddly and complicated it just didn't appeal. Came down with yet another bout of bronchitis, decided it was time to give it a try. Soooo... I picked up a mistic, then moved on to a 510, and just recently got my delightful eGo twist, every step of the way still telling my friend "this is it, I don't think I need anything more than this!" I suppose I'll still be saying that a numerous years and new gadgets from now. :) Been off cigarettes completely for about a month now, cut way back when starting the mistics about 3 months ago.... Pretty much completely painless, and I've dragged along a handful of (newly-minted) ex-smokers myself along the way.

So, um... hiyas! Oh and thank you for all the great info, there's no way I could have done this without the help!

It IS pretty painless isn't it? I sure hope the FDA or the ATF or whoever is thinking about hassling us Vapers makes sure to do an in depth study on success rates comparing vaping to other stop smoking techniques.

Congratulations Biziou!

Welcome Biziou and cangrats on the switch you won't regret it. Ask everything and anything you can think of and someone will chime in and give you direction or guidance along the way. I switched to vaping in Feb. after smoking for over 30 years it is amazing just how easy it can be.

Congratulations Biziou!

So painless that I wasn't even really looking to quit smoking at the time, just give my lungs a rest, and maybe find an alternative to use in hotel rooms and other nonsmoking areas.... and I just drifted into vaping almost without trying.

Another hello and welcome from Canada, eh!

You are definitely on the right track, from one newbie to another I am so pleased to say goodbye to tobacco and all the chemicals it comes with. For me, this forum has not only been a wealth of info, it has also been an incredible means of support.

Cheers and Happy Vaping!

Hi Biziou, Welcome to the ECF. And welcome to the best part of your new lifestyle. Its ok to lurk, as long as you find somehing that is helpful for your specific situation. If all else fails ask away, there are plenty of members here who will readily know the answer to just about any question you may have. In the meantime you sound pretty set to go. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.
