Why hello there first of all to everyone I am pleased to meet you all! Ive been floating around here for a few months but had nothing to really say until now so finally got round to getting an account a few days ago.
Some slight background.
I ended up here after reading a thread on the something awful forums while I was bored and this place was linked constantly as well as from whirlpool. I went through every single page I could and listended to all the good and the bad weighing it up in my mind but at the end of the day just could not believe what everyone was saying, that this was an actual viable SOMEWHAT healthier means of feeding my addiction.
Due mainly to boredom and the fact that I like to spend money I managed to con my housemate (also a smoker) into purchasing two 901 starter kits, some attys and some juice from heavens gift and then smoked my brains out for 7 days waiting for it to arrive so I could finally see if it was all crap or if it was finally what I had been looking for.
My first week with them was not brilliant to be honest, the juice I ordered in was not to my liking, I got the Apple and Dunhill 24MG but found it to taste like ..... I decided to stick with it and give it another go and ordered some Double Drum - Mint and Some benson and hedges from oksmokey and BAM! I was hooked.
I should cut a long story very short. I was never actually intending to quit but I have now been analouge free for over three weeks and have not wanted or had a ciggerate in the entire time. It just happended, more and more I found myself much preparing to vape some delicious mint rather then some burning styvusent.
I honestly cant believe it! I feel clean, I breath cleaner, I dont reek and I am saving money seeing as I was buying them for 14.50 odd from servos and was buying an average of two packs a day. The housemate has also quit and now only vapes.
The bad news? I cant keep supplies in stock for myself because I have ended up placing six new orders to keep up with my co-workers and friends who have all tried mine and want one so I used all my batteries, attys and chargers to keep em happy in the meantime. Sure its annoying for me but if I can help others to kick the habit then so be it!
I dont know why I posted this. I just had to tell someone I guess. I have struggled with depression over the last 12 months or so thinking I would never be able to quit those filthy things, even after my mum was diagnosed with empysema I could not stop and the thought just depressed the hell out of me. Right now I cant even believe I was inhaling those things for so long!
This forum provided me with so much great info on suppliers, models, methods and mods that I can never thank it enough. Thank you all!
Few odd things though:
Ive put on six kilos somehow and where is a great place to pick up the screwdriver if I am in australia? I am ready to move up to something a little larger
