Got my Riva 510 in today and I also ordered some cartomizers, along with the carts, just to see what I prefer, but I can't figure out how to put juice in the carto? I'm used to a KR808 D-1 carto and that was easy to refill but this new carto has a plastic piece on the draw end, which I took off, then there's another plastic piece down in there that seems to be attached to the wall of the carto?? I have no idea how to put juice in this thing!!

This will somewhat depend on the type of carto you bought... but the condom method should work with almost any...

Step 1: Use one of the end caps you pull off, use the longest one.

Step 2: Fill 1/2 will juice.

Step 3: Slowly slide the carto in, threads first. This will force the liquid in.

Step 4: Pull out and wipe off dry.

Step 5: Done.

If you bought soft cap standard 510's, then you can pull off the cap and drip it in. But for now, that method is easiest. If you bought EGO MEGA, then it gets more complicated...

You can do a Youtube search on either the Condom Method or Drip and you can watch if you like. But filling the cap and sliding it in as rather simple.

is the plastic thing in the cart look like a donut shape..if so just find something to hook it with, and you should be able to pull it out.

Just yank the inner plug out (bent paper clip works) and toss it. Keep the outer plug. "Condom method" is a waste of time and juice.

Perhaps a waste of juice, but I can fill one with that method in about 8 seconds max. Not exactly a lot of time, lol. Whatever...either way works, as long as you have normal carto's.

The outer plug looks similar to my KR808 carto's, except its hard plastic, but the thing on the inside is actually a plastic piece that is attached to the walls of the carto and has 2 small holes in it that a paperclip won't fit into. I'll try the condom method since I can't get the inner plastic piece out? I don't know how I'm ever going to wash them, though?? Its not the O-ring that's in many cartos I've seen, its actually a built in divider wall between the bottom and top of the carto, it doesn't come out at all.

If you got the ego type mega carto's like I did (type B, full size, chisel tip)
pull off top cap, w/one hole
pull out inner cap, w/two holes
pierce tube in center with pin or needle
fill thru tiny hole you made till one drop appears at threaded end
mabe someone can tell us more as this is my first experience w/these

I think some of the cartos have caps that either don't come off, or not a good approach. I never use the drip method as I personally don't give a hoot if I lose a drop of juice. But to each their own...

Yeah, what the Fog said... did you buy standard size carto's or MEGA? They are totally different...

I don't know! The box just says cartomizers and I ordered them from LF along with my Riva, I'm pretty sure it just said 510 cartomizers when I ordered them. I don't really care if I lose juice, but I would like to be able to run water thru the carto to clean it a couple times before I toss it. They're pretty long, though, compared to the carts, I'd say they're 1/3 longer than the 510 cartridges, but my order form doesn't say mega or anything. Does that help?

sounds like yours might be the XL carto's, 510 diameter

mine are the same diameter as a 650mha batt. = mega

can't help with the slim long one's

I am almost certain you have the standard carto's. 1/3 longer is because the atomizer is in the cartomizer. If you had MEGA they would be fat.

Just use the condom method to fill a couple, then watch the videos and see which method you prefer long term.

That's exactly what I have! Thanks for the help. Now I just need to figure out how to clean them later!? C'mon someone gimme a video on YouTube on cleaning them, between ECF and YouTube, I'm learning a lot!

Joye makes standard 510 and MEGA cartos. They are just the manufacturer - not the type you have. If skinny, they are the standard - if fat you have EGO mega.....

Its a Joye standard 510 carto, used the syringe to fill one and the condom method for another. They're both working great. But I also filled a cartridge and it seems to be getting dry at the atty end while there's still plenty of juice further up inside the polyfil or whatever the stuff is that comes in them already...there is definitely a learning curve to all this!
