my GF pushed me to try e-cigs and give up the real thing after talking to her friends husband who just made the switch. i googled e-cigs and two vendors kept popping up, green smoke and V2. i went with V2. which after, i dont know... 4 hours researching on your forum i think i made a mistake lol:oops:. i was under the mindset that if its to good to be true it probably is and you get what you pay for. i found out thru my hours of research on your forum that might not the case with V4L. i called V2 to cancel my order but they had already shipped it. i decided i was going to return it and ordered a V4L starter kit yesterday. (one day after the 28% off springcleaning sale and one day be for the 36%-28% sale that started today) which is just my luck lol.
i did have a question tho. are the V2 cartos compatible with the V4L batteries? since i dont think i can return the cartos.
thank you for putting together a great forum with lots of great info. i cant wait to get my e-cig and start filling my own cartos and trying different flavors

Welcome!

V2 cartos fortunately should be compatible.

Remember to buy some eliquid so you can top off the cartos when the vapor gets light or a bit dry so you don't singe them. if you keep a carto damp it may work well for 4-7 days and sometimes more. If you are doing tobaccos, a nice plain tobacco liquid is good for topping off any tobacco. And a good vanilla is something you can top off any fruit or dessert flavor with.

And if you bought auto batteries then be super careful - before putting a refilled carto on the battery make sure a carto is not going to leak out the threaded end hole. Autos are much more prone to getting damaged by juice leaks because of their dependence on the drag sensor.

Yes the cartos will work and vice versa with V4L cartos for V2 cigs, they are both KR808D-1 batteries. People say that V2 sells overpriced KR808D-1 products so if you're going for KR808D-1 model I suggest you go with V4L or Bloog MaxxFusion. Have a good one and welcome to ECF, I am a relatively new member as well although I got the hang of pretty much everything already ;)

Welcome to ECF and ecigs :)
One of my favorite things about V4L is that if you buy when there's not a sale they sometimes throw in some freebies!! If you get your post count up you should swing over to the V4L subforum. The people over there are very helpful and nice! Plus their customer service reps are online alot of the time so if you have any questions/concerns/issues they are there to help!

This is what turned me off of V2.

The V2 Lifetime Limited Warranty:

The V2 warranty is offered to original purchasers who have acquired their V2 product here at v2cigs.com. (note: if you have purchased your V2 product from a physical retailer, please return the product to the retailer).

We warrant that your V2 CIGS product will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for the full life of the product.

[This is misleading, read the very last paragraph]

The V2 lifetime warranty applies only to V2 electronic components and does not apply to cartridges or eliquid products. This warranty does not cover any defects or costs caused by:

1) modification, alteration, repair or service of this product by any persons or company other than V2Cigs.com;
2) physical abuse to, or misuse of the product or operation thereof in a manner inconsistent with the use indicated in the V2 instruction manual; or
3) any use of the product other than that for which it was originally intended (i.e the use of unapproved accessories, like non V2 chargers or power adapters)

Any express warranty not provided herein, and any remedy other than the warranty contained herein that might arise by interference or operation of law, is hereby excluded and disclaimed including the implied warranties of merchantability and of the fitness for a particular purpose. Replacement or repair of product is your exclusive remedy under this warranty.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The V2 Lifetime Warranty is limited to a maximum of 5 replacements on any given order. The item must be defective (this is not an exchange system), and will be replaced with an equal item from current inventory.
The V2 Warranty can only be used within 90 days of your last cartridge or eliquid purchase. As long as you have purchased eLiquid or Cartridge products from V2 within the last 90-days, you may make full use of your warranty for the life of your V2 electronic product. Your V2 warranty will never expire.
If the warranty can only be used in the 90 days of your last purchase how is this for the "full Life" of the product?
I saw this and something told me don't walk, RUN away from this website cus they seem very dishonest and manipulative.
I may be wrong but that's my impression. I keep re reading it thinking i must be missing something, but no, the more i read it the more I'm convinced the word Lifetime in the warranty is meaningless with that last stipulation at the bottom. It makes the whole word lifetime null and void. Any company willing to play mind games to trick their costumers needs to not just be shut down but the owners business license needs to be taken away and never returned.
I say all E-cig owners should boycott this company.
thanks for all the advice. @John Phoenix that is interresting. its like a car warranty saying its only active for only 500 miles after filling up your gas tank and you have to refill to get more warranty.
i woke up this morning and my V2 was waiting for me at the leasing office i guess it got here yesterday. i think ill use the V2 till my V4L gets here then send it back. maybe ill do a side by side review of the two compaines (your favorite vs your most hated lol). i know im new to this but i can tell which is a better product. i hear what everyone here has to say about V2 and i wouldnt have ordered from V2 if i heard all the horror stories but since i did i might aswell make something of it.
I ordered a kit from v2 a while back...they have had a few issues with shipping, and backorders, but their hardware is ok..it is absolutely 808 and compatable with v4l cartos and batts...their warranty is kinda strange I guess, but I've never had any problems with anything...i don't use the 808s much anymore myself, but occasionally I loan them to friends who want to try vaping..the v2 stuff still works just fine.
