I changed out my sisters wick for her on her iClear 16 and put a new flavor for her to try. She didn't like it.
Took the wick out and rinsed it and dryed the wicks and put in her normal juice no problem. The wick was new so I didn't want to toss it. Hope this helps.
Often this is an underrated way to test possible combinations. I like a lot of different combinations whether it's orange creamsicle and banana or a mix of two great RY4s.
I have two EVODs, two Artemas carto tanks, a Phiniac carto tank, Protank, an iclear 30 and two iclear 16s in my rotation. All contain different juice profiles but I'll try various combinations from time to time.
If you are completely changing flavor profiles like going from a fruit to a coffee, I would switch heads on the iclears and cartos in a tank. The bottom coil Protanks or EVODs can more easily handle these changes with a wash and a dry burn.
I have at least 3 different tanks in rotation at all times. Each has it's own flavor. When I first started, I didn't bother with cleaning out the old flavor first depending on what I switched to. Might taste weird at first, but then the next flavor came through. It's a good idea to keep back ups, no matter what you do.
+1 for possible flavor mixes silverthorne and MBV pumpkin spice was one I never would have thought was as good as it is, that said I probably wouldn't mix menthol tobacco and orange or grape and chocolate. Most of the time if I'm poor I will just power through bad combos except Anise flavors so many people love those but they to me are just aweful.
I clean out my tanks and dry them before filling with a different flavor....but I do keep fruity flavors in marked tanks and "savory" flavors in different tanks
Agree with boots...I like a clean rig to switch.
Admittedly, when hurried I tried to just add a new flavor and some really have NOT gone well.
No names mentioned, but there are some eLiguid manufacturers whos liquid for what ever reason just does NOT like to
mix with others! Oil and Water is the look of it..then I've also had some just go dark brown,,,picking up from what ever was in
a used carto. So I suggest it depends on how much Liquid you're willing to toss out if it suddenly goes wrong.
Of course we all hope for happy accidents! We've all had those also, let us know.
It depends, if the previous juice compliments the next flavor in line, and my wick and build is still vaping strong, I may not rewick. Especially if I am in a hurry to get to work, and don't have time or am being lazy. I'll re-wick when my rba is not performing satisfactory and same with the build, or when I want to try something new.
Good maintenance practice is such an easy thing, and good for optimum vape enjoyment. I have a selection of rba's, so keep each with a different flavor in it, so my standard practice is to re-wick when I am trying a new flavor so I have a better idea of what needs to done if I need to tweak the recipe.
