Hello,

I have been vaping about 8 months now... for the first month i was using a small 501 which was fine, but the battery would only last me about 3 hours so i wanted something new... i admit i bought one of the $99 ones you see people selling in the middle of the malls... Smoke Free i think it is called. It has worked great for me, but over the past couple of weeks it has stopped working so good. i charge both batteries all the way, but just dont get any vapor from them any more, so i want to get something new.

i want something that will give me a LOT of vapor. i want something that will have a battery life of about 8 hours or so at the least.

I know i am being a bit vague... but is this eGo-T a decent buy with a big hit to it? Joye eGo-T

how often will i need to change the Joye eGo-T Tanks?

thank you for any advise you may have... i am willing to spend up to $100 on a new set up if you have any other suggestions that i may want to consider

thanks

I don't use -T tanks. The batteries are fine. The -T atomizers and tanks are liked by some and disliked by others. I think about 50% or more of the people who buy Ego-T end up switching to using cartomizers which are what most used before the -T atty/tanks were invented less than a year ago and what most people still use now.

i personally do not care for ego-T's and have heard of quite a few problems that stray me from it. i suggest a ego style kit with smktech cartomizers instead. works better, wont leak, and equally as easy to use. plus it sets you up for more familiarity for future endeavors with e-cigs.

I have the Ego T and the C.
I personally think they work just fine..........

I really prefer the Ego C. The atomizers are cheaper and a lot easier to take apart for cleaning.
The battery life would get you right around 6 to 8 hours I suppose depending on use......

As for cartridge changes, well that depends on how much you use them.
I can go through 6 in a day but average 4. I used to smoke a pack to a pack n a half of Newports daily........

Edit:I never experienced leaking probelms but read about them from the get go. I use the optional rubber tank caps.
never experienced a leak yet and they last.

I tried the EGO-T It was ok with the standard tank atty that comes with the kit. Personally a LR carto gave me a much better TH and vapor production. They also make a LR tank attys if you would like to keep using the tank system. During a normal day I would go through 2-3 tanks which would be about 3-5ml of juice using the standard tanks and the battery would last me for the majority of the day. however you mileage may vary.

Welcome , and the silver bullet is a good option , and so is the E-Power , even a Lavatube which is VV (veritable voltage ) all of those , in my opinion are better than an EGO - T . Don't get me wrong , an EGO is a nice PV , but the batteries are expensive to replace , where the others use cheaper replaceable batteries . The E-Power beating out even the others in that aspect . Well there you go , lots of choices , and so little time . Have fun and Good Luck .

You might want to check out a mod like the Silver Bullet. I don't own one, but many member of the forum have them and like them. It will also give you the battery life you are looking for.

The Silver Bullet is what I'm using now. The 18650 battery lasts me about two days before I throw it on for a charge.

Bottom line - nothing wrong with Ego as a first fat-battery long-charge model. Just buy some cartomizers too (Boge are most popular, particularly the hotter 2 ohm ones that can be used on 450mah+ batteries though the cooler 3 ohm are easier to learn on (harder to singe).

OR go for a model with a bit more voltage. Ego is 3.4v. The Riva 510 models at Liberty-Flights.com and I think the Kgo models some like are 3.7v which will get more heat out of your current 510 stuff as well as LR stuff.

Learn to use the cartos too. That way, when your atomizers get beat or if you kill them, you will still be able to vape. Both work best with thin clear juices, like 30% Vg or less for the -T stuff and I prefer 20% or less for cartos.

Note - never charge 510 on a fat 510-threaded model's charger (the fat model chargers put of more mA, enough to damage slim batteries so label the screw in ends of your chargers).

Alternately, if you get a mod, your replacement batteries will be cheaper and you should be able to use LR as low as 1.5 ohms without risking destroying your battery.

So, that T-Rex kit is just as good as an EVO kit? And I assume you would want the 1100mAh battery option vs the 650mAh default choice on the page.

I just started vaping this week, and went with an Ego-T.

I popped on a tank and atty and went "Eh, this is okay", then filled a Boge LR cartomizer and went "Okay, now I see the appeal."

I still see some value in having the option to use tanks or cartomizers, so I'd recommend you get an Ego-T kit and two 5-packs of Boge 2.0 ohm cartos. That'll still come in under your max budget, and gives you some nice options.

I'm an atomizer turned tank turned Boge cartomizer fan. The tanks leaked, flooded, and varied in taste, vapor and convenience. I finally ditched them in favor of Boge 2.0 LR cartos. As someone mentioned uptopic, the silicone tank seals seem to have fixed the problem and you do get a big reservoir in the type B tanks.

I started with an ego 600 mah, then picked up the ego-t 900 mah (battery only; I use cartomizers) because of the 5 click protection. Works just fine! Then I got a kgo kit, then a bolt. If I could start over I would probably have forgone the ego-t and went straight for the kgo with higher voltage and longer charge life, but an ego-t will not let you down.

I am probably not one to give advice since I have only been vaping since October, but I started out with an Echo kit with a couple of 1300mAh batteries. It carries a little more "girth" than the slimmer models of e cigs. It holds its charge through my 9 hour work day with charge to spare and lots of vapor. My carts came dry so be sure to have e liquid on hand. The only down to this model *imo* is that the rubber flat tip tends to pop off easily so have a couple to spare.

Ha I know how you feel about the Smoke Free ecig. That was my first ecig as well. Its ridiculously overpriced and the prefilled cartos are too. It does work okay..for a slim ecig. A bigger battery PV will be alot better.
Personally I agree with casebomber and like 3.7V PVs alot more than 3.3-3.4V eGos, but the eGo isnt a bad PV and will still be a nice improvement from the SmokeFree. I use an E-Power now which is a night and day difference from the SmokeFree. Batteries are alot cheaper than eGo batteries and last longer before they need to be replaced, plus everything is replaceable which I liked bc its much cheaper to maintain than an eGo. I would def order some cartomizers too for your eGo. Personally I hate the eGo tanks bc they can be very finicky and leak, plus they dull TH and flavor, but that doesnt mean you wont like them. I would get some Boge 2.0ohm cartos though too in case you have problems with the tanks and/or dont like them. The Boge 2.0ohm cartos work well on the eGo and give a nice consistant vape. Personally I wouldnt use anything lower than a 2.0ohm atty/carto on an eGo bc the lower ohms put alot of stress on the eGo mosfet and can potentially fry them, but thats up to you. Thats another reason I like the 3.7V PVs bc they handle the lower ohms better and I use 1.7ohm Ressurector cartos on my E-power. Regardless the eGo will give you alot better battery life and a much better vape than the overpriced SmokeFree, plus its cheaper!
Goodluck with it and I hope you like your new toy!
