LMAO..... this is bad huh? I'm not to thrilled about the chrome, would prefer it be SS BUT at the same time I like the idea of variable voltage and the 2200mah batteries, and hubs wants a tank and I believe we could use a tank on this bad boy.
while no experience w the torpedo directly, its a pretty nice well rounded kit for the cash, even has two batts.
you guys are clippin right along eh? lol

Nice price. Looks like an L-Rider Lavatube. About 5 1/2 inches long , without a delivery device, and thick as a "D" size battery. Mine is heavy and I use it only at home vegging out on the computer or watching TV. If you use a mini Nova on it you may require a 510 to 510 connector since the air holes on the nova seem to get covered, standard Novas are OK.

If you have been reading about the new devices with variable wattage you may want to look at a Zmax Smoktech Zmax Variable Volt APV of course this is not for a kit but there is 10% this Veterans Day weekend. They come in SS/Gunmetal Chrome/.... and then there are colored Acrylics in a host of colors Search results for: 'acrylimax'

Enjoy your vaping

me too but I like the clearomizer just because of the size... hubs wants something with a little more get up and go while he's at home. This wouldn't be that convenient for him to take to work but wth, I could use it while he's gone ;) lol So anyway I am trying to talk him into something a little bigger like this, he's looking at just getting a clearomizer or tank for the ego-c. Not sure which is the best way to go. I just REALLY like the idea of variable power (if I am understanding that correctly) for those times when I need an extra boost I can just pump up the power.
yeah I think a tank would look nice on it actually.

variable is also great in the aspect of not having to worry so much about the resistance rating of accessories, now you can say oh i usually use 2 ohm heads but I have the 2.8 ohm cart i want to try, so just turn up the juice a little.

being able to adjust the power also helps fine tuning the sweet spot "not too cold not too hot -just hot enough to taste really good"

and for on the go I use a vivi nova mini (2 ml) or a kanger T2 clearo, about as care free as it gets for pocket use.

That's pretty nice too, looks like pretty much the same thing. Can you tell if there are obvious differences besides that the torpedo has a 2200mah battery and this 1 has an 800mah? Is it locked into only that battery, or can you use a higher mah battery?

Thrasher THAT'S what I want, I dislike that we are pretty much locked in with the gear we have.

well the zmax is a really nice device and getting ok reviews, some are saying wait for V2 as the first one has a few niggling issues, not deal breakers but noticable - I do think for the money the warranty on the Z is kinda short.
the torpedo while not as feature rich does come with a 1 year warranty and is cheaper.

as for whats better? dunno. I have mosty ego style batts and a cheapo bolt and the provari is coming next weekend. so anything beyond that is out of my knowledge base.
the very best thing to do is youtube both and check them out in detail.

the Zmax hands DOWN Sennie. The Zmax is made of stainless steel, not chromed aluminum. The Zmax also has variable wattage in addition to variable voltage. SO with the Zmax, not only can you adjust the voltage to whichever carto you happen to pick up, but the Zmax is smart enough to adjust ITSELF to whatever cartomizer you put on it. Thats the biggest difference. :) If I were getting my 1st big mod on a budget, the Zmax might be it. But obviously, if I had the money, the Provari would be the one I'd want. The Provari doesn't have variable wattage yet, but its build quality and customer service is unmatched.

HA yeah as much as I would love to have that provari I can't afford that much. Right now we have the ego but want to move up to the next level. But there has to be an end to that right? Right? lol

umm.... errrrr.... um....... ya if you say so..................lol

but seriously, it depends on you do you want to keep playing?, can you keep gear obsession in check? etc etc.

I'm in between i have probable stopped my self from buying the next shiny just from coming here and seeing what others who have it think. yet there are somethings I do still want to play with or check out.

i personally dont need 14 APV's but the accessories are a different matter, everyone likes this? ok we will try it, whats 20 bucks here and there, I finally reached a saturation point where theres not too much I want to try even though it looks interesting.
really how many different carts can you try before you realize they are almost the same in the end, some are just better made. so get what everyone already has on the top of their list.

for me play time is done really and time to invest in things i know will last for a while. like I have a couple cheaper rebuildable attys, like em alot, so why not invest in a kickazz well built one that I know is better made and will last.

In my view I promised myself as long as I dont spend more then I would have on cigs then Im ok because in my mind that was money I had planned on spending anyways.

(now if I could just apply this same train of thought to juice samples...................)

Is the price listed the regular price or the sale price? Like I am diggin that SS 1 but is the $98 price tag the sale price or would I get another $9.80 off that... I am working HARD to talk the hubs into something like this.... I say for him but if ..... get's real here, it's mine... Help me talk him into it!! lol Also... what accessories would I need to actually use it? If I ordered a tank maybe that would be a selling point too? lol

hmm - best is waaay to subjective In that respect I try to research the ell out of something before i try it, gather a ton of opinions then form my own and give it a go, not just think ooo the next cool thing everyones using right now. with vaping youtube is pretty much a must i think.
a good example is the nova tank, I agree hands down one of the simplest most reliable little devices to come along and it just works, but I also agree it's not the best flavor producing device on the planet, but I can't complain as my pocket stays dry at work so there is always a pro and con.
saw a ton of info about the t2 carto's tried one and feel the same way - really nicely done little unit. but for pure vain awesomeness im still gonna drip when i can, i use tank at home but i really like the power of a good dripper.

Thrasher don't you find it inconvenient to drip? Like constantly putting a drop or 2 in for a few hits? I just want to fill and go, is there THAT much of a difference in flavor with dripping?

I can't afford to buy every shiny new thing that comes along so I have to find the best that MY ( we have a lower price point than most I am seeing) money can buy that will satisfy our needs. We are almost at the we broke even point with as much as we've spent so far and as much as we would have spent smoking so I am happy as far as that goes but now that I am like yeah ok this is something we will stick with and I guess we are looking for that vaping nurvana...lol
