Ok so everything was going well. vaping and not bothering with any analogs as I seemed to have what I needed with my Ego T setup... Then I get this VVV (Torpedo, same as the LavaTube), and then I get a Vivi Nova tank and WOW its amazing, everything tastes amazing with supirior flavour compared to the ego rig. Now my ego rig was the "out and about device" as its not looking like im sucking on a tail pipe, its coming to the end of its life now and not performing great and I just CANT use this VVV Torpedo out and about, so I have ended up smoking about 8 odd a day! :(
Considering last week I cut down to 3 smokes over 7 days when I was smoking upto 25 a day.

Is this normal?.... I am just at a loss with it all now and I was due to order a provari this weekend, No way do I want to spend £200 for no reason....

Just be grateful the substance you're trying to kick is nicotine and not something else that a western society really looks down upon.

This last part cracked me up a little. :D

In reality, is it the nicotine we're trying to kick? Or the carbon monoxide, the tar, and additives?

OP - why do you find that carrying your larger PV around unacceptable? Is it due to lack of pocket space? I don't think you should put yourself down for relapsing, however, I do not feel sorry for you either. It's your choice between smoking and looking like you're "sucking on a tail pipe". I'd vape on a coconut sized pv before ever smoking again ;)

As Salt/Pepper said, you'll be fine. Good Luck!

Hey Jake 3 to 25 is still a pretty awesome ratio!!!

I suggest you just try take your LT out and about and perhaps you will see it's not so awkward, if you're still that uncomfortable with it try something like the Gripper, more pocket-friendly and good for stealth...

Out of curiosity, do you like your smokes better than your vapes?
If not your on the right way to kick them out of your life... if you do like them better you will have to search a little longer but I'm sure your perfect vape is out there!!! :vapor:

No worries on the "relapse"! Today is a new day! :)

I know what you mean about not wanting to take the lava tube out and about. It isn't too pocket friendly! Not for me anyway. I will use it in the car if I'm out, but usually not if I'm walking around or something. I use my vv gripper or ego v6 if I'm out. The gripper is pretty pocket friendly, and it packs a pretty good punch! Fairly inexpensive too!! If you have a full size lava tube (18650 battery) the gripper uses same batt too :)

Anything that makes you smoke less is a good thing. You have cut right back on your cigarettes, so that's also a good thing... Don't be too down on yourself!

Might I suggest the ego twist battery and perhaps a Stardust style system (at around 2.4 ohms)... The ego twist is variable voltage like your Lavatube and performs really well. Far more discreet than the Lavatube anyway! I tend to only use my LT at home and my Twists when out and about (mainly because of the endless questions about what I'm doing. Which do get a bit annoying!!)

Best of luck and I hope you find something that helps...

That eGo is considered a disposable, and when you compare the cost of one to the same amount of cigarettes, hands down you have saved money. Buy a new one if it is what you like and leave the big one at home. If you don't, you will continue to smoke the cigarettes right? I am sure if I didn't have mine with me I would smoke a cigarette. I am just simply addicted, and I will get it when I need it. So far so good, bummed one at a funeral where beer was involved and I don't feel bad about it at all. I just try to have my eGo with me or I know I will fail. I also leave me big one at home unless I am going somewhere I feel comfortable with it.

ETA: I just noticed you saying you were due to get the Provari. It is on sale, and if you look in the section on closeouts or whatever they have the blem'd one even less. I bought a blemished one and can't find anything at all wrong with it! You still get the full warranty. But I still have an eGo Twist for on the go if I feel like the ProVari is too big.

I buy a battery ever two weeks or so, whether I need it or not. As someone who has failed many times at vaping in the past because of equipment failure and/or running out of juice, it took me a while to come to the realization that you have to kind of stockpile.

A good way to look at vaping, especially at first, is that you used to spend X amount of dollars smoking per day/week. Now, figure out how much you spent, and budget that money toward your newfound hobby/habit.

At $7 a pack, and a PAD habit, I was spending around $50 a week on cigs. One Twist, some coils, atomizers, juice...you can easily keep yourself stocked up at what I was paying. And while I paid for cigarettes, I look at the money I spend on juice, gear, and the rest as an investment. I am investing in my future, my health, and a hope that one day I can walk away from nicotine altogether.

Good luck, man. It is only a relapse. You'll get there at some point.

I get where you're coming from...the 18650 tube mods with a tank sort of look like pipe bombs. I had a Roughstack with a similar setup for a while. Most of the time I don't care, but I always felt the need to "represent" when talking about vaping, and it just wasn't an attractive setup to show someone who's interested in vaping.

A Provari, while lovely, is sort of large too. I have a REO and it works for me because it looks like a cell phone or walkie talkie- I feel really comfortable out and about with it, but it still has the 18650 battery, and 6 ml of juice. It's not variable volt, but I have no need for a VV device, so it works for me.

There are a lot of APV's/Mods that will work. You have to have one and an atty/carto the gives you a decent vape.. the rest is preference and gravy. I use box mods... they fit in a shirt pocket too.

As for the analogs....I understand. It took me 2+ weeks of withdrawal before I started feeling better even while using the e-cig. That's with no cigs at all. There is a withdrawal from all the other stuff besides nic, for many of us. So don't beat yourself up. Different people go through the process differently. Some use a few cigs a week for a while. But most of us, after some time, finally decide that smoking stinks and we quit em for good. I do know some here that use both e-cigs and cigs. I would encourage you to strive to ditch the cigs, in time. But give yourself a break too. No guilt, only progress.
