Some like the top-coils. They produce a warmer vape, much more so than BCCs. Some say this enhances the flavor especially for sweets.

I don't really have any experience with top-coils im sad to say. I have a perfectly good iClear 30 just sitting in my box, fully wrapped and unused.

*goes back to dripping*

Much like BCCs they seem to be either a love or hate for most! Definitely a different experience and worth giving it a shot if you feel like trying something new and have the disposable income to do so.

Best of luck on your vape journey :vapor:

Hello Gio.
I use both and have found good and bad points to both.
The Vivi Novas I have work well on the whole but I do find that with high vg liquid and chain vaping I sometimes get dry hits if I let the juice in the tank run low. I have found that rewicking with cotton helps but the wicks do have to be changed more often then silica.
I do a lot of dripping and I do find the taste is somewhat muted in comparison but the cotton helps there as well.
Hope this helps.

I am a bcc fan.. but, was looking yo try a Vision Vivi Nova.. has anyone used or is using one of these? Reviews? Thanx! :)

I used Vivi Novas before Protanks were all the rage. I tried a VapeOnly Mega BCC and the Protank and I have not put a drop of juice in my Vivis since then. I've Paid most of them forward at this point, just keeping a few in case of emergencies, however it's pretty redundant at this point. Once of them was new and hadn't even been used.

What I found in comparison:

  • No need to tilt and twirl to keep the wicks wet with a BCC
  • Much better vapour and flavour with the BCC
  • Cooler vape with the BCC, which I am now used to and like.
  • More efficent nicotine delivery along with the better vapour - the amount I was vaping dropped and I had to reduce the nicotine content by 4mg/ml down to 12mg/ml.
  • Protanks are much better quality that the Vivis I was using.
  • Plastic is normal for the Vivis, glass is normal for Protanks
  • Protanks work pretty well out of the box, I was never happy with the Vivis until I'd recoiled the head with my own wick and notched the top cap.
  • Vivis always used to drop juice on my battery terminals, I was forever wiping them.

There's still people who love their Vivis. If you're looking to try a top coil device now though, you should probably look at the iClears which seems to be a popular option for those that BCC's don't work for. I haven't used the iClears so don't know how they compare to the Vivi Novas.

I've been using the mini (2ml) for 5 months and had 0 problems. I carry it in my front pocket where the CE5 and iClear 16 didn't fare too well. Burn it off about once a week. I'm on my second of the 3 heads that came with it. Best $8 I've ever spent on vaping.

EDIT:I use high PG clear juices, about 7ml/day YMMV.
