Orchid v4 RTA tasting bad

Hello all. Last Friday I bought an orchid v4. Initally set it up at .5 ohms cotton wick.. Best tasting cloud chucking rta I've ever experienced. However the past couple of days it has started tasting Aweful. So I rebuild and rewicked. This time at .7 ohms. ( both are dual coil builds). Same result. The vape is harsh, tastes mildly like burnt hair or something. I don't understad what it could be. Any suggestions??

I am running it on a manhatten clone mech mod. With efest 18650 battery.

Did you thoroughly clean it when you got it? It's either that or there's too much wick in the coils and you're getting somewhat of a dry hit. Weird that it tasted good at first though. Only other thing I can think of is maybe you burned one of the insulators and are getting some melted plastic taste.

Ah. No worries. Just checked. The insulator is white as snow. And I didn't clean it after I bought it, cou92nd that cause this even after it being fine Initally?

I've tried adjusting the coil chamber up a thread or 2. And no real change.
26 Gauge wire .

The vape at first was mega dense and juicy. And a nice but not harsh throat hit.
