I placed an order for DH and I and I received an email wanting personal information sent via email.
"Can you provide us with the phone number on the back of your credit card ending xxxx, as well as the name of the bank and the first 6 digits of the card#? We need to contact the bank to verify the transaction"

I emailed back and told "Jennifer" that I would provide the information she needed via phone but I was not comfortable providing it email. She replied "Unfortunately, we do not have phone lines as we are a small online company."
All this did was throw red flags up. If a company cannot communicate with a customer on almost a $600 sale via phone what gives? With all the credit card scams going around with the ecig stuff I feel like I was not asking something unreasonable.
As a customer what I am I missing here????

All is fine on the bank CC end. Verifed with them this morning that they have an authorization from them for the total amount.

Sounds fishy. My business would be going elsewhere if legit.

But I can't see them asking this. Why would they care? If your CC don't allow such a purchase I'd talk to my bank.

Provape use to have a phone number when they first started out 3 1/2 years ago... I use to talk to David all the time.... Something wrong here.... I dont think Provape would ever ask for that information..........

I got mine resolved also. You would just think after I explained I was not comfortable giving that information on the email and to please call me someone could at least pick up the phone for 2 mins. Then you tell me you DONT have phone lines at your business. WTH??? If it had been up to me I would have cancelled the order but DH wanted me to proceed. Someone that is placing an order for two of your top of the line products plus other items and you cannot pick up the phone to put their customer at ease does not rate high in my book. Just saying....

I got mine all resolved.. It was really Provape trying to contact me with more information.

I will have to say that I do love my two ProVaris but was unimpressed with the customer service. No immediate email telling me they got my order is pretty poor to me.hree days after I placed the order, I finally got an email saying it was shipped.

I guess Im just so used to other vendors emailing me right away when I place my order that I was expecting at least the same level of customer service to ease my mind after Ive clicked enter..... ditto on just sayin...

I can understand being suspicious, but they didn't really ask for any personal information:

"Can you provide us with the phone number on the back of your credit card ending xxxx, as well as the name of the bank and the first 6 digits of the card#? We need to contact the bank to verify the transaction"

They wanted to banks phone number and name. Not really classified. Now, the first 6 digits might seem like personal information, but without the rest of the digits there's nothing anyone could use it for. I would have just given them the info.

That's just the same questions they asked me, I was using discover not a bank, plus I had a hard time finding the discover address, its not on any of my current statements.

The State of Confusion
Provape has a phone, they have also had a lot, a lot of USPS shipments come up missing lately according to Kim.

Mine was one of them!

If they gave out their phone number they would never get any work done as they are an e-commerce company.

I know all about "Stumpy McGraw" my mail carrier who signed for my Provari, and I never got it!

That's why we have the Postal Inspector Office, and the USPS-OIG !

They were quick to resolve the issue and re-send my shipment and it was $340.00!

Now then, they do have a contact form you can use on their web site, which is what I used, and they answer in 24 hrs. or less....

You have to have a separate USER ID and LOGIN than your Provape store, so it's very secure...use this!:vapor:

Alot of missing shipments? Mine was one of them and Provape was good on getting it replaced. Anybody know the story on this rash of "missing" shipments?
