ordered a kit from rocky mountain with prefilled mystery liquid

I ordered a joye 510 starter kit from rocky mountain vapes. It was supposed to come with no liquid in the cartridges. It came pre-filled with some gooey liquid substance. I am not sure what it is, but I am afraid to use it. I only want to use 0% liquid and am concerned that the liquid has nicotine in it.
has anyone else ordered from them? Does anyone know what is in there? How can I clean them out completely?

Are you talking about the cartridges or the atomizers? The atomizers usually come with a bunch of "gooey liquid substance" to keep them from oxidizing. just blow it out if that's what it is and then with the cart off you can hold the button down for a few seconds to help evaporate whatever is left.

I am talking about the cartridges that you plug into the atomizers.

You should be able to pull out the filler of the cart and clean it (carefully so you don;t fray it too much) in warm water. Squeeze it a few times to rinse, then mash in a paper towel to dry. Should be empty at that point.

I am off the nicotine. I am mainly using this for the craving and to have something to do when i drink. I guess I was just wondering if this was a normal thing to have these things prefilled with liquid when it said that they were going to come empty.

I have never had that happen, but I could understand the concern. You might check your invoice to see if maybe they just threw in the wrong thing. As I mentioned you can just clean it out or pull out the filler, clean the cart, and replace with a blue foam or new fluval/polly. Having been off alcohol for quite some time I feel the same way when I ask for a tonic with a twist; I either need to make it myself or be sure I see the person mixing the drink. If I don't see what's in it, I don't drink it. Probably a smart move with nicotine as well. Good luck.

thanks. Yeah, it was SO hard to get off and I feel like one single puff of nic and I will be in trouble. I know it may seem silly to a lot of people on here, but I still miss the action of smoking. This ecig thing got me excited especially when I found out I could do a 0% deal. I just do not want to mess with it.

where can I buy some blue foam to replace it with? Is there a specific kind I have to buy?

To steal Dormouse's thunder: "I usually switch carts to blue foam stuffing rather than mess with rejuvenating the white stuff. strictlyejuice.com sells cheap pre-cut blue foam for 510 carts. About 1/10 the cost of buying it uncut so it's the cheapest way to try it (Dormouse, 2010; Dormouse 2011)."

It can also be purchased from any aquarium shop or pet store with aquarium supplies it is: Marineland Rite Size U or similar thin blue foam product. I tend to use it because I have several aquariums (animal freak here) soI have it around anyway; but, I trust Dormouse implicitly with her recommendations. The foam can be a bit of a hassle to cut yourself if you don't do it on a regular basis.

Not silly at all. It's one of the reasons people like these things so much. I found the act of smoking to be as much of a hurdle as the nic when I tried other ways to stop regular cigs.
