Now im ordering a provari with the extension cap,

but my overall question is where to to buy 18650 AW IMR batteries and the correct charger for these types of batteries?

I am knew to mod batteries, but have done research and found the AW IMR are HIGHLY recommended, but I dont understand what charger to use with that type, please assist!

RTDVapor is a good place to get both, but last I saw they were out of the AW 18650s.

Nope, they are back.

I've heard a lot of people suggest the Pila & Xtar chargers. I'm still using the Tenergy from Provape but plan on getting a better one soon.

Gonna love the Provari

:)

I know! I can't wait to get my hands on my own! Ordering a Phiniac Tank as well, and plenty of cartos! Might just order these batteries tonight, prices seem fair at RTD!

Awesome. See now I go through about 2 to 3mL of juice in a day, but use almost 3 batteries. JoyeTech Twist 1000mahs.

Can't wait to have something stronger and longer lasting.

I use about 2-3ml a day and an AWR 18490 (1100mah) will last me all day in a provari. For charging I use an XTAR SP2. I haven't had the urge to buy a 650....yet ;)

They are protected, which reduces their output capabilities. Believe protected aren't recommended on VV/VW because they usually have built in protection. Protected cells are generally longer too.

I've heard of people using the Panasonic CGR18650CHs in their Provari but I still go with Provapes recommendation of AWs.

Actually have some CGRs coming from RTD but they are for when my CVI arrives. I may try them in the Provari. I don't think they'll harm it. An extra 250mah for a few $ cheaper than AW, plus loads of good talk about them here on ECF.

Wish my JoyeTech would stand up better to carto tanks, but it just seems to wear them down quickly. I do vape almost every moment I can, only break I ever take is at work and thats only because they won't let me vape indoors.

Oh okay, Hadn't learned that yet! AW's it is! Ordering 2 18650's and the SP2 charger. I'm thinking 2 18650's should hold me over just fine.

Thompson steered you to the right place. RTD Vapor rocks. I use both batteries as he does, and I've had the same results. Make sure you get the AW IMR button or nipple top variety.

I have the more expensive Pila charger. It's the Provari of battery chargers. :toast:

Pila charger is the best...RTD has great prices...Provari, great choice, now all you need is some HH357 attys to Supercharge it...:)

I've been using a Trustfire TR-001 charger for over a year to charge my AW 18650 IMR batts. I bought it for some 14500 batteries I used to use with a box mod. The TF has been rock solid, although there are those who have had the cord burn through. Mine has been good.

I'd like to have a new charger and revert the TF to backup status. I like the features of the Pila and Xtar models.
