Ordering Toque Snuff

Has anybody purchased Toque Snuff from their on-line store? I'm thinking of buying a few tins (about $10 total) to try out. I'm just wondering if I'll be hit with excessive duty charges, even on such a small order. Shipping is free, too, so it might work out cheaper than buying locally - though I haven't found any place that sells it yet. Today, I went to a small tobacco cum newsagents shop, and they had no idea what the hell nasal snuff was. They had lot of American dip snuff, which I would avoid like the plague.

I have. I ordered a 6 bullet order just to see how it is.

I had NO duty or customs issue whatsoever.

I also got it 7 days after ordering.

BTW, if you are into it, get the PEPPERMINT. Whoo!

Sounds good. I read on a snuff forum that a Canadian was charged $9 duty on a $11 purchase from Toque. It sounds like it depends on the customs agent inspecting the package. Thankfully, with free shipping I can order small amounts and not freak out if they do charge me. I'll post a new message when I receive my order.

Oh, I'm not much of a peppermint fan, but who knows? Maybe it goes well with their base tobacco.

My order was 12 pounds, or just under 20 bucks, and mine came through without any hassles whatsoever.

hmmmmm, maybe I should try snuff (better read up some more)....

Sure wish a snus outfit would list and offer sample packs with all "those" flavors to try !!

I received my package of two snuff tins today. There were no extra charges from customs, and the package was labeled properly. It all came to about $10 Canadian, so I'm very pleased.

I bought a 25g tin of Original and one of Lavender. I initially thought I wanted a tobacco flavour, but after much reading, I realize that I should've bought smaller tins to sample the other ones. Oh well, no big deal.

So, I just took my first TINY pinch. Bit of a runny nose - not bad - and a burning feeling at first. I can feel the nicotine rush. (This is coming from a light cigar user.)

I'll probably post some more impressions on the smokeless forum. Right now I think I need to take it slowly and practice my technique.

The Lavender smells lovely! I could almost eat it. Ha.

EDIT: It took about 11 days to deliver from the UK.
