So im using organic cotton to wick my coils. Ive noticed at first it has a strange taste almost like the taste you get in your mouth before you vomit. Ive tried it with different juices, juices ive made amd store bought juices. Still im getting the same results. Anyone else have this issue? I would like to know how to fix this if all possible. I use organic cotton from cvs, you know that geeen bag? I notice it has hygrogen preroxide in it maybe thats the cause?

Yes... That's why I now boil all my cotton. I actually boil it 3 times. This gets that weird taste out of it. I boil it once, pour that water out, refill it, boil again, pour that out, refill and boil once more. Then I lay my cotton on stacked paper towels and allow to dry over night. Then I store those in sealed zip lock baggies. It does the trick.

And yes it's the hydrogen peroxide you are tasting.

I don't know about boiling in regular tap-water. If you are going to go to the trouble of 'removing anything left in the organic cotton', you're just replacing it with dissolved solids from your water. What about the calcium deposits or the chlorine?

I personally don't boil my cotton, I do get the taste of the cotton for a couple of vapes, but it fades to nothing in minutes.

If I did boil my cotton, I think I'd choose distilled water.
