So I just bought the aqua clone and the SS origin mod clone from 101 vape. The aqua came without the hybrid connector pin. In defense of 101 vape they did mention this when I bought it and promised to send one to me as soon as they received them (apparently tobeco forgot them). Being the impatient person I am I took the silver plated pin out of my king clone and surprise surprise it works in the Aqua!

I previously had it on my nemesis and it didn't hit very hard at all... After the switch to hybrid mode it is a beast!!! The thing hits twice as hard as it did on the nemesis in a normal configuration. Has anybody else tried these two clones together in the hybrid configuration? And does anyone think there will be any problem with using that silver pin from the King mod clone?

PS this thing looks great as a hybrid.

How do you like your Aqua? I got mine yesterday, took it apart – looked clean. I filled it up and tried vaping – tasted like burnt machine oil. I degreased it, washed it, re-wicked and re-coiled it. I used 10 wraps on each coil of 0.6mm X 0.1mm Temco A-1 Kanthal Ribbon, approximately like 30 GA. Wrapped it on 2mm Ekowool very close together, kind like a micro coil. It came out to be 1.0 Ohm. Too low for Provari and too high for Mechanical Mod. It works, but I find that my Kayfun is much better on vapor production and flavor. But, then again, I’ve had my Kayfuns for a while now. I know exactly how to build it to my liking. And this was my first experiment with Aqua…

I dont own a kayfun, do have one on it's way. I've been on the search for a bottom fed silica RBA that produces good flavor and decent vapor production. The aqua way actually pretty easy for me to set up. dual 28g microcoils with 2 mm ekowool 7 wraps each came out to 0.75 ohms. The vapor production is so-so but the flavor is amazing. Warm moist vape full of flavor, much better than a Genny and easily on par with my drippers. What surprised me the most was the difference in performance between the 510 connection and hybrid mode, easily twice as much vapor.

Do you have a kayfun clone or a real one? I've heard so much about them I decided to get a clone and check it out.

I’ve got both. First I bought the real Svoyo Mesto Kayfun 3.1 $180.00. Loved it, and then got two more clones by EHPro and HCigar. Both good quality and perform just like the real one.
