Lol..B'klyn native also..nj now..ugh..VZBridge, Coney Island were the spots. What u need to get ur spirits up is a nice plate of fresh,homemade spaghetti and meatballs(mix in some ricotta cheese into ground beef( no heartburn)) toasted semolina garlic bread,a canoli and a scoop of neopolitan ice cream to finish ! That'll ease ur suffering.
Bronchitis is a hard road,so keep up ur moral and you'll get thru.

make that two scoops of spumoni, and I'm in!!! (corned beef on rye with mustard on the side please, and a pickle) Haven't had spumoni since I was a kid.
