Entry #2 What was my first introduction to vaping??
My sister in law and I were having lunch one day, and she pulled out a disposable from her purse, and said, you have to try this!
Well, first it was menthol PSS (Patooie Spit Spit)
And even beyond that, it just wasn't good, but it made the lil hamster in my brain (his name is Teddy) start runnin lickity split on his wheel. I said to myself hmmmmmm ....... if this could be done in a better way than this..... this could actually work! And myself answered back and said......Psssttt..... go look on the innerwebz dummy!! so I did!
I first found our dear old pal Mr Busardo. At that time he was convinced the best vape in the world was a couple Ego 1100 mah batts and a trunk full of Boge 510 cartos. So I bought a cheaper version called a Kgo (figgered it wuz 6 letters better)! and a couple boxes of boge 510's and.......a box of EMDCCs. Those are the cartos that hold 4 mls.

I really didn't know if this would even work, and I certainly didn't figger on quittin smokin, at least not right away. I was one of those who really enjoyed smoking!! I never wanted to quit. I was plannin on bein cremated with a couple cartons of cigs, so I could breathe in all the smoke while they wuz burnin up with me!! Toss some coffee beans in there too so they could roast up good!
Now my only desire to quit at this point was because I had begun to have a bit of wheezing, and coughin up a little bit of ewwwwww. And at that time.........seemed like everyone I knew just about, was suddenly ending up on oxygen. I knew if I didn't do sumpthin.......my future would also be tied to luggin around one of them green tanks! Well, I had gotten so busy playin with my kit when it arrived, but of course, eventually wanted a smoke........reached for the pack.... and realized I had been so busy with the vaping......it had been 4 HOURS since I'd had a cigarette!! omggggggggg I couldn't believe 4 hrs without a cig and I hadn't even noticed it!! That was quite the accomplishment! Well, I was so amazed by that, and if truth be told.......too dang stubborn to give up that 4 hrs.......so I just decided that was it! If I could go 4 hours without even noticing it...........I could quit!! Of course, this made it much harder on me that it really needed to be if I had just tapered off.......but I've never been one to do things the easy sensible way. In the interest of not turning this into a 400 page epic (best seller of course...any publishers out there reading this)???
....... I did struggle with cravings for about 8 months, til I finally went back up to 24mg nic. That ended the cravings........and I knew that I would never smoke again!!! Over 4 years now that I have been a non smoker.........and that is something I never ever believed could happen! I no longer wheeze, or cough up ickies......and I am so grateful to have found vaping and the incredible support here on ECF. If it were for the fine folks here......and vendors doing contests (which got me a vv mod that I won but couldn't have afforded at the time)..... I wouldn't have made it.
So a huge thank you and much love and hugs....... to the wonderful folks that helped me here on ECF and wonderful vendors like Origin doing contests, who helped me get better gear that I couldn't have bought!!
