When I was in elementary school, I got picked up from school on the last day before Christmas break and returned home to find the police had cordoned off the street around my house: apparently some teens were joy-riding in a stolen car, got chased by police and the car flipped over right outside our driveway.

One of my friends discovered where his parents stored "Santa's" gifts and gloated about what he'd be getting at school. His sister found out about it, told his parents, and all he received under the tree were empty boxes. (He did eventually get all of the gifts--on his birthday in January.)

We may not get to spend Christmas Eve with family because my wife works the 11p.m. to 7 a.m. ...., and the family gathering is at my nephews which is over an hour away. It would be too hard on Mrs Krusty.

We will see everyone Christmas Day though.

I always loved it as a kid when the local news would show the radar tracking of Santa. It was so exciting to see Santa getting closer!
