Install a section of PVC pipe in the ground when planting trees or large shrubs. Place the pipe 8 -12" from the root ball . The bottom of the pipe should have holes drilled around the outside up 3-4". Extend the bottom of the pipe a few inched below the bottom of the root ball. You can fill the pipe with big rocks if you don't want a "open hole" Fill the pipe with water and allow it to soak into the ground. This will force the roots to grow downward and outward toward the water source giving your tree or shrub a very good base.

This is a highly effective method of getting rid of ants. Spraying vinegar on the ant’s entry paths, you are spreading a very strong scent that repells ants, making them avoid it. Make sure you cover all the corners and areas, including those of counter tops, sink and windows. Let the vinegar dry well. Though classic vinegar is widely-used for these purposes, apple cider vinegar is not less effective. All you should do is mix it with water in equal amounts and use a spray bottle.

Another way to get rid of ants:

Cornmeal. Take cornmeal and spread it over the affected areas. Though this ingredient is absolutely safe, ants cannot digest it and die.

Consider using the wet sock cure. This oddly soggy strategy really does help ease a fever and clear congestion by drawing blood to the feet, which helps increase circulation throughout your body. The best method is to warm your feet in hot water, soak a thin pair of cotton socks in cold water, wring them out, and put them on just before going to bed. Put a pair of dry wool socks over the wet ones. The wet socks should be warm and dry in the morning, and you should feel much better.

Driveway Weed Killer:
Pour 1/4C table salt and 1tbsp dishwashing liquid into a spray bottle, then top off with white vinegar. Shake to combine, then drench the weeds with the solution on a dry sunny day. Repeat as necessary - it may take a few days. Be careful with any runoff though - this solution will adversely affect any soil that you do want plants to grow on.

No NEED for Over the counter - Toothpaste, Teeth Whitener, or Mouthwash . . .

Toothpaste: Baking soda is the best home remedy for cleaning & whitening teeth. Sprinkle a little on your wet toothbrush; brush and rinse as usual.

Mouthwash: 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda & 4 Oz Water - Mix Well - Then Gargle to freshen your breath.
