It was a Roadrunner...426cu in 425 hp street hemi......... headers, 456 gears, dual AFB's, Dyno tuned, etc;
Very quick, fast street car in it's day! Those were the days my friend! That car out of the factory new was $3800 & the engine option alone was $1000 over the standard HP 383 cu in! That was my pride & joy at the time! Wish I still had it & in like new condition! Ya never know what ya got till it's gone, at least that's the way it was for me! I've seen clean ones of this nature go for over $100,000 on the Barrett Jackson Auction!
They have just ruined everything IMO, who ever THEY are, (these so called rich collectors) so no regular guy can have anything cool & original anymore...they didn't have to up the ante this far...the GREED has taken over & is now the SOUL of this country!

I guess I should've been a preacher maybe, instead of a regular mechanical worker guy!

Even if I was a rich guy, I wouldn't pay this, for their status symbols! Let alone screw others because I could & keep it all to myself........................

I sure love to see and look at these cars though & day dream about the way it really was before they wreaked it all!!!!!
I also had one of these, similar, in the more recent past, ('67 Camaro SS) that I ran at the Local Drag Strip's!
This was a fun car...won a Wally with it once & numerous other eventful wins etc! I did all the work myself & learned much with this car!!!
