These cans of dehydrated water are actually empty tin cans made by a real food company, Bernard Food Industries, who began making the cans in 1964.

The cans were never meant to fool anyone. They were made as a novelty or gag item, something to be displayed at stores to make people laugh, get them talking, etc.

YUP! but don't think it woulda helped my wheel though and don't know if they had such a thing back then & if they did, I don't think I coulda found it CHEAP & used like I rolled with back in those days? :laugh: Glad you liked my story though and it's a true one really. It's amazing what solutions ya can come up with, when ya need to & this story is the first thing I thought of when I saw that post about can pull tabs! :lol: I don't know what I'd do now a days, as these things don't exist anymore and everyone is so liter conscience? Maybe I should do a test experiment & see what I'd do now? I don't think so, I'd be too chicken now. let alone travel like that anymore, I roll with all the new stuff now!!! :laugh::laugh::laugh:
