Original super mini upgrade questions

I have a super mini from one of the original batches that I love. My problem is that I moved to the super mini from a "puck mod" that ran on 4 x 1.2v nimh batteries. As much as I love the supermini's form factor it just doesnt have as good of performance as the puck with the increased voltage.

What would be my option to upgrade my super mini to a higher voltage/ most cost effective way? Can I just order a glv2 tube and endcap then use 2 1465 batteries? Is the original supermini regulated to 5v if I stack 2 batteries with the new tube?

I don't know if the tubes are interchangeable; that might be a question for Jay. As for the resistance, the only GLVs that are resisted are the ones purchased that way such as the GLV2 3.7v (resisted) or 5v (resisted).

Sorry kboyts, just checked on mine, and it can't be done the connection is sitting higher in the SM headcap, batt's won't make connection.

It definetly wont work.The SP head is set up differently.
