I have 4 original Vapor King single logo batteries, 2 manual, 2 auto, and 3 Diamond manuals. I've noticed that when I put a Carto on one of the OVK single logos, I always have to do the post adjustment on the battery and/or carto to get it to work. I never have to do post adjustments on the diamonds. Does anybody know if there is a manufacturing difference at work here? Is the post more stabilized on the diamonds? Does the post stick up higher on the diamonds, causing the post on the carto to get pushed in when I put the carto on a diamond, making it so it doesn't connect when I then put it on an OVK single logo?

I'm tempted to just put the OVK single logos away and not use them, except that they are fairly new and should work, and I would hate to not get my money's worth out of them. Besides, my favorite Dunhall red carto looks so Christmasy on my green OVK shorty :)

It's not your imagination, tolerances do vary between those models and may affect the post height. The only way around this is to only tighten the Carto enough so the posts make contact and your are getting vapor. This will make the carto sit just a hair higher your Diamonds than on your standard VK's. As well, make sure to only tighten the batteries onto your rechargers so that the led light triggers showing it is charged. Over tightening can lead to the post being pushed down.

There is one other fix....raise the post on your Cartos, they are not as pliable as the posts on the batteries, but with a stiff enough paperclip it can be done. Insert the paper clip into air hole, raise one side then raise the other to balance it out.

Hope that helps.....:2cool:

+1 to what Snow sir said. :)

ChadR sir the king diamond and stealth series are simply the best batts that V4L has ever released (not to mention the best gen 1 kr808 batts on the market period). Better switch, better cells, better voltage holding capabilities, list goes on. After their release ended up pifing my vapor king batts. It's night and day comparing the two.
