I drink just plain ol water! I go through about 5 water bottles a day... and that's just when I'm sitting here at work :) I can't stand all the artificial sweetner stuff. Something about that after taste... ick! I've tried every kind and I just stick with regular delicious sugar! haha. I even had a hard time with sugar free gum... But I'm pretty sure it's just me... :D

I'm not a fan of that aftertaste either, although I hate tapwater more so I deal with it. Occasionally I'll add a few drops of lemon or lime juice just to give it some flavor with none of the artificial taste

I got a Berkey water filter a few years back, and it's really helped to increase my water intake. When the water is filtered through the Berkey (I also use the fluoride filters), it removes all of the chemical tastes and leaves behind crystal clean hydration. One benefit it has over reverse-osmosis water is that it also leaves the minerals behind.

I typically prefer it at room temperature, and can down several glasses a day. On particularly hot days, I like it chilled with lime and sometimes even a little dash of sea salt.

Hope that helps!

For my .02, I highly advise against artificial sweeteners of any sort; research how they are manufactured and decide for yourself.

Since tea is 99.9% water, Ive never been too worried about getting dehydrated from it, although I have always known that drinking it causes me to have to go to the bathroom more often. But to be honest I've never looked at that as a negative - as long as you're drinking enough, the water is just flushing toxins out of your body right? I was curious though so I googled "does tea dehydrate" and found several differing opinions. I can't say this is the absolute correct answer, but I tend to agree with this opinion:

Thanks for the link! I love green tea, but had no idea that it has more caffeine than black tea. I'm going to continue drinking ice tea. It's so good when it's hot out.

We use a water filter too. It sure makes water taste a lot better!

Re. artificial sweeteners, I entirely agree with you. A few years ago, I was getting headaches daily (unusual for me). At the time, I was drinking two or three Pepsi Ones a day (made with Splenda). I started reading about Splenda and stopped drinking it. Within just a few days, the headaches stopped.
