The colors never cease to amaze me with their diversity and intensity.
The seagull was about 100 yards away from me, so I took the photo with my 400mm. lens. I didn't do anything to isolate him from the back ground. It was just after daybreak, I noticed him on the snag in the water. He was being highlighted by rays of sun that were coming down the river. The water and the trees in the back round were not being lit up during the sequence.
The photos are not as crisp in focus as I would like them to be due to the poor lighting and the fact that the boat was swaying in the current of the river, plus it was rocking due to a wake made by a passing boat. But, I'm pretty happy and proud of the way they turned out.
